Comencé a hacer joyas en 2016 después de tomar una clase en mi colegio comunitario local en Austin. En esa clase aprendí habilidades básicas de soldadura y cómo usar una sierra y archivos. No fue mucho, pero me sentí confiado en mi capacidad para enseñarme técnicas más avanzadas. Cuando terminó el semestre, comencé a reunir todos mis materiales que necesitaría para mi estudio en casa. Hice un banco de joyero personalizado y me instalé en mi habitación. Trabajaba a tiempo completo y hacía herrería por la noche y los fines de semana, enseñándome a mí mismo cómo hacer biseles e incorporar piedras en mi trabajo. En ese momento solo podía permitirme materiales mínimos y pasé la mayor parte de un año poniendo piedras y aprendiendo a través de prueba y error.
La fabricación de joyas es tanto mi pasión como mi salida creativa y me esfuerzo por expresarme a través de la plata y las piedras. Mucho de lo que ves en mi tienda es completamente único, ya que normalmente no disfruto haciendo los mismos diseños más de una vez. Cada pieza de joyería comienza a partir de un boceto y es creada por mí en mi estudio casero en Indiana. Soy un espectáculo de una sola mujer, lo que significa que todo, desde el diseño hasta la fabricación, la fotografía y el envío, lo hago yo.
La mayor parte de mi trabajo está diseñado para celebrar las emociones naturales, particularmente en respuesta a nuestra naturaleza cíclica. Los ojos, las lágrimas y las lunas son temas prominentes en mi trabajo, ya que creo que simbolizan el mensaje que estoy tratando de transmitir. Creo que los sentimientos son túneles por los que debemos pasar, y que el llanto es catártico y a menudo necesario para la curación. Además, creo firmemente en la conexión mente-cuerpo, y que debemos honrar que nuestros sentimientos fluyen y fluyen naturalmente y a menudo se ven fuertemente afectados por fuerzas fuera de nuestro control, como nuestros ciclos menstruales o las fases de la luna. Es a través de mi propio viaje de autorreflexión, seguimiento de ciclos y trabajo emocional profundo que mi arte toma forma.
Cuando compras en mi tienda, me esfuerzo por hacer que tu experiencia sea buena. Por lo general, soy muy rápido para responder a los mensajes. Si tiene algún problema con su pedido, me complace discutirlo con usted y tratar de encontrar una solución. Dicho esto, las políticas de mi tienda son bastante firmes. No acepto reembolsos por nada que no sea mi culpa. Esto significa que antes de realizar un pedido en mi tienda, debe asegurarse de conocer el tamaño de su anillo, tener suficiente dinero en su cuenta, etc. No acepto cancelaciones por razones tales como el remordimiento de los compradores o no saber el tamaño correcto de su anillo. Depende de usted, el cliente, saber su talla de antemano antes de realizar un pedido en mi tienda. Tampoco soy responsable de su paquete una vez que lo dejo en la oficina de correos. El seguro está disponible para su compra si le preocupa que su pedido se pierda en tránsito.
En este momento no estoy aceptando aduanas. Actualmente trabajo a tiempo completo en una granja de verduras, lo que significa que mi tiempo de estudio es limitado. Además, debido a la naturaleza artesanal de mis piezas, los cambios de tamaño en los anillos y las alteraciones de la cadena no están disponibles. Hello and welcome to my Etsy shop!
I started making jewelry in 2016 after taking one class at my local community college in Austin. In that class I learned basic soldering skills, and how to use a saw and files. It wasn't much but I felt confident in my ability to teach myself more advanced techniques. When the semester ended I began gathering all my materials I would need for my home studio. I had a custom jeweler's bench made and set up shop in my bedroom. I was working full time and smithing at night and on weekends, teaching myself how to make bezels and incorporate stones into my work. At the time I could only afford minimal materials and I spent the better part of a year setting stones and learning through trial and error.
Jewelry making is both my passion and my creative outlet and I strive to express myself through silver and stones. A lot of what you see in my shop is completely one of a kind, as I don't typically enjoy making the same designs more than once. Each piece of jewelry starts from a sketch and is created by me in my home studio in Indiana. I am a one woman show, which means everything from designing to making to photographing to shipping is all done by me.
Most of my work is designed to celebrate natural emotions, particularly in response to our cyclical nature. Eyes, tears, and moons are all prominent themes in my work as I believe they symbolize the message that I am trying to convey. I believe that feelings are tunnels that we must go through, and that crying is both cathartic and often necessary for healing. Additionally, I believe strongly in mind-body connection, and that we must honor that our feelings naturally ebb and flow and are often strongly affected by forces beyond our control such as our menstrual cycles or the phases of the moon. It's through my own journey of self reflection, cycle tracking, and deep emotional work that my art takes form.
When you purchase from my shop, I strive to make your experience a good one. I am usually very quick to respond to messages. If you have any issues with your order, I am happy to discuss them with you and try to find a solution. That said, my shop policies are pretty firm. I don't accept refunds for anything that is not my fault. This means that before you order from my shop, you need to make sure you know your ring size, have enough money in your account, etc. I do not accept cancellations for reasons such as buyers remorse or not knowing your correct ring size. It is up to you, the customer, to know your size in advance before you order from my shop. I am also not responsible for your package once I drop it at the post office. Insurance is available for purchase if you are concerned about your order getting lost in transit.
At this time I am not accepting customs. I currently work full time on a vegetable farm which means my studio time is limited. Also, due to the handmade nature of my pieces, resizes on rings and chain alterations are not available. Please double check all measurements before ordering from my shop.
