Meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations

Always focused on a sustainable lifestyle and social awareness, Simone founded her upcycling label „Childlab aka Studio Vuples“ in 2011, where she started off with illustrating old pottery and other reusables bought from Viennese flee markets, as well as creating screenprints & illustration art. Since then she has continuously furthered and improved her creation styles and production techniques that incoroporated the notion of sustainable living, thus claiming a central spot both in her desgin process as well as her artistic work. This means: Awareness in regards to reducing paper use and waste, choosing fonts that use less ink, recycling, using environmental friendly paper, working with certified local printers – in short, ensuring that all components of a product or suppliers in the service chain have a low impact on the environment and therefore limiting adverse effects on the abilities of future generations.

Care instructions

All painted pottery is not ment to go into the dishwasher. I use only old, recycled ceramics which are already blazed and burnt therefore the illustration is only in the surface - even it is burnt again - it's fine for decoration and gentle use
