5 out of 5 starsI special-ordered two sets of the rain cloud earrings for family members after I purchased my own pair in a shop in Downtown, Manassas. Mallory was so sweet to make the earrings for my mother in law and sister in law, who both saw mine and loved them. They’ll be a great Christmas surprise! Thank you, Mallory!

5 out of 5 starsVery lovely earrings! A little bigger than I expected but that’s not a problem at all. I really like that they come with backs rather than wire hooks too. Love em.

About StudioYaga
-
I spend much of my time working on large scale paintings in my campus studio.
-
My jewelry studio is my bedroom in Brooklyn at my sunny desk.
-
I make large scale unstretched paintings of abandoned houses that stand in the landscape where I grew up.
-
I'm a lover of plants and brilliant color, so my bright and leafy bedroom is often my favorite place to get inspired.
-
I'm drawn to brilliant light and the sweet streets of small towns where boutiques are filled with handmade pieces.
The Artist Behind the Artistry
After a lifelong love of making things, Studio Yaga began as a project to boost my art to the world. I've always been drawn to artistic practice and I spent most of my life making DIY projects when I couldn't afford the beautiful handmade items I loved.
Studio Yaga is inspired by my love for the folklore of Baba Yaga. As a morally grey character with the capacity to help or frighten, I fell in love with the witchy story and its lessons. Studio Yaga emphasizes those strange and unique moments from stories and turns them into physical adornments that are guaranteed to catch the eyes of anyone you see on the street.
It's a shop where fun and strangeness coexist; I want you to look good in your earrings and feel cooler than you ever have before.
I am a recent graduate with a degree in Painting and Book Arts from Pratt Institute. I'm originally from Virginia, where the beautiful and vibrant landscape inspired my love for all things bright and handcrafted. While my passions began in painting alone, attending art school allowed me to exploring the discipline of jewelry making and learn techniques that I had never seen before. What started as a desire to make small and different pieces for myself to wear expanded to be a real business, thanks to the constant support and love from my friends and family.
My passions lie within making creative pieces that are affordable, chic, and fun, bringing a sense of life to a world that can sometimes feel colorless. To me, jewelry is a necessary part of everyone's life that shouldn't break the bank; it provides a simple way to make yourself feel a little brighter every day. I make pieces that bring me joy with their fun and unique qualities, and I hope that they'll do the same for everyone who tries them. Adding a little fun color to your look is the easiest way to feel joyful and radiant, even on the dimmest days.
