About

"Go to your studio and make something"

What is my studio?
Right now it's a formerly formal dining room.
What do I make?
Oh, lots of things. I started as an art student years ago - painting. Portraits. Like my European grandfather before me. But I wanted more, like my Canadian artisan ancestors. So in no particular order I learned to make and sold silver jewellery, pen and ink drawings, collages, assemblages, wood work, embroidered panels, papier mache bowls and masks, beautiful Christmas ornaments, small quilts, sculpted figurines and much more. I
Right now, favourite media are paperclay , Photoshop - as shown in my digital shop pixelzuzu.etsy.com, 100% quilting cotton and of course wonderfully made vintage finds.
If it's not a vintage item , everything in my shop is made by me alone.
I am working to bring my craft back to art , or vice versa, but it's all about creating, every day.

If I wasn't in my studio making something, I'd like to be at Mazinaw Lake in the summertime. And maybe own a fabric store.

I try to balance the beautiful and the practical, but life isn't always so balanced. Sometimes things are just blazingly practical, or defiantly beautiful. I have always made a variety of things in a variety of media and have an artistic eye for vintage items.

Accepted payment methods

Payment
You can shop here with PayPal.
Instant payment is preferred.

Orders are generally shipped within 24 hrs of receipt of payment.
Shipping
In most instances, Orders are shipped within 24 hours of receiving payment.
But - Note - there is no mail delivery or pick-up in Canada on the weekends.

I'm now using Air Mail delivery through Canada Post.
If your item is small and flat and fits in a standard envelope, it will reach you as letter mail and get there well within 10 days.
For packages, this takes about 2 weeks within North America.

The shipping charge encompasses not just postage but packaging as well.

Customs Policy

All Custom fees or duties that might possibly be imposed on packages would be the Buyer's responsibility.
Refunds and Exchanges
I want everyone who buys from my store to be happy with their item.

Refunds will be given if an item has been misrepresented and is nothing like its photo or description. I can assure you - this is a very unlikely circumstance.

All items are packed with the utmost care but an item that gets damaged in transit is beyond my control, as is loss within the postal service.
But should these unlikely events happen, please contact me quickly and it will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
Additional policies and FAQs
Even though I am doing mostly one-of-a-kind pieces, I can do Custom Orders on digital work with regard to the number of items. Just convo me ahead and I can make a Reserved Listing for you.

Vintage goods are mostly one-of-a-kind except for lots of wood clothespins or spools.
