Announcement   Ahoy and welcome aboard! I'm Smee and this is my little corner of the Etsy 'Verse. Here is where I will be posting and selling my artsy projects that I enjoy spending my free time making and creating. While I focus mainly on knitting items, I also do paper crafts, jewelry, and sewing. The items I create will be in the section aptly named "Captain's Quarters", and items crafted by my artist daughter will be located in " First Mate's Quarters". She also creates custom knit scarves and anime-styled art. Looking for a commissioned, one-of-a-kind piece? We can do it!

The Suburban Wench ships anywhere in the United States, and if you live outside the US we can work out the shipping. If you live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, we can see about meeting up for delivery. The Suburban Wench accepts cash, Paypal, and most major credit cards. Commissioned pieces requires a minimum 20% down payment.

Thanks so much for the great service! I love the frame, it looks perfect in my house...

About

Traditional knits with quirky bits.

I decided to start The Suburban Wench after taking so many custom knit orders from friends, then for people from back home via Facebook. I started out with a few hats and booties, then onto my bigger pieces. I'm also venturing into custom jewelry and various odds and ends, and the items that are deemed worthy are put into the shop.

I'm just a northerner transplant living in Dallas with my native Texas hubster and not-so-southern-belle daughter. I've always been artsy, but it wasn't until a bout of unemployment in 2009 that I picked up the needles and learned knitting.
