From Bags to Beads

I started my Etsy shop in 2010 when I was mainly making textile handbags and totes. I then added needle-felted items including Jacob sheep wool bags.

Next the bags were beaded, and I began my bead obsession which hasn't abated at all!
Each beaded piece is a journey, which is usually not pre-planned, but evolves along the way. This keeps the design fresh and constantly changing.

My inspirations arrive from my country surroundings. I live in the beautiful county of Devon in England. U.K. We have such variety of moorland, coast, woods and fields, and I spend much time in my garden admiring pure floral colours and so many shades of green.

My background has mostly been over 40 years of textiles. From designing ladies' and children's clothes, to silk painting Art Nouveau cushions for museum shops, to oil painting and life drawing, machine embroidery, needle-felting and now beading.

I am always looking at new ideas, and sometimes accommodate special commissions. So feel free to convo me about that special piece.
