5 out of 5 starsThese are so unbelievably cute and the highest quality!! I tried making something myself for a dear friend who is a ceramicist and they didn't turn out at all so when I saw these I was thrilled. She is going to adore them! I needed them asap and Sumiko not only responded to my request immediately, and they arrived within a few days. Thank you Sumiko!!

5 out of 5 starsAbsolutely adorable and perfect! Came with a cute little hummingbird ornament. My dad passed away in October and hummingbirds were his favorite animal and this was a gift for a granddaughter, now I have a little hummingbird, too. ☺️ Don’t mean to overshare, but what a lovely sweet surprise. Thank you so much!!

5 out of 5 starsThese were a gift for my grandmother as she has a hard time remembering things but still loves to garden. These are perfect for her garden and the writing/illustrations on the stakes were large enough that she can read them without glasses. Such beautiful pieces of art that are also incredibly useful. Seller was very accommodating and had the order shipped quickly even though one item was originally out of stock and had to be made to order. Love! Thank you!

My sculpture took second place at the San Diego County Fair Fine Art Show.
My name is Sumiko Braithwaite. I have had a love affair with all art forms since I was a teenager. I was born in Kumamoto, Japan, amd began studying fine arts while still in High School.
I traveled to Italy in 1958 and studied under local artists there. I was married while in Naples and put my artistic endeavors on hold while I raised my family.
Besides my four years in Italy, I lived in Washington, D.C., Honolulu, HI and finally settled in San Diego, CA.
I became serious with art as a student at Miramar College where I received an AA degree in Fine Art. I attended a class in clay at Mesa College and found my calling. At Mesa I studied ceramics, sculpting and glaze technology under Dr. John Conrad. Dr. Conrad is a world famous author and a Master Potter.
I create unique "Double Wall" pottery in a style that is definitely all my own. You can see examples at http://www.doublewallpottery.mysite.com or go to http://vasefinder.com and check the international shows.
Examples of my work can be found in many private collections worldwide.
I am a member of Clay Artists of San Diego, Shelter Island Art Association, Coronado Art Association and San Diego Museum of Art, Artist Guild.
