I recently beat leukemia and recovering from a stem cell transplant. As I'm regaining my feet and learning to walk again, finding my way back into handmade things and slower processes that reconnect me to artistic roots rather than the design world I've been caught up in the last several years. I love deep crazy conceptual art, slick design is fun too but sometimes its nice to just play with colors and be happy with that.

These pendants are really beautiful. Nicer than they even look in the pictures. One's bound for my niece, another for my step daughter. Little compact masterpieces. Package arrived very quickly as well. Great experience from Sumo Design!

Great product and great service. I wear the broach on my charcoal grey jacket and the purple wire looks lovely on it. The crystal beads really catch the light . My broach arrived quickly in the mail.

New life through Making

I started my shop while I was recovering from Leukemia. I had a compromised immune system and wasn't able to get out of bed for a long time so I went back to making jewelry like I have since I was a very small girl. I'm a trained artist and have worked in the world of design and art but its nice to get back to my roots and just play with materials and color. I especially like working with things that have a shine or a glow to them that is not fully captured in a photograph.

I also love working with new supplies and run a supply business. I sell mostly on other sites but may be migrating more to etsy soon.
