The new year is here and so are changes to Sundrip on Etsy.

I've set some creative goals for myself that I'd like to share with you.

1. In 2019 I will be working more with abstract art and watercolor. I'll also work with different finishes and surface textures. The goal is to create for the purpose of joy.

***** UPDATE: I've read quite a bit about watercolor and realize my surrealist style doesn't fit well with proper watercolor techniques. This doesn't discourage me. I love the medium and will continue to use it. I hope you like the effect of watercolor and surreal art.

2. Experimental art will appear in my shop for your choosing. These will be items where I tried a new painting technique or tried a sculpture. I will also offer supplies used for collage and decoupage. The section you'll find them under will be called Community Center and PIF. These items will be given at gift prices, well below the standardized original art prices.

3. There will be restored items such as abandoned bears that will be cleaned, repaired and given a tummy full of aromatherapy herbs. There will be repaired and beaded macrame, baskets and whatever else I can get into.

As you can see, the new year will be one of learning and fun but also of giving. I would like to do a lot more Pay it Forward items (in the Community Center) than last year. In 2018 I was able to place 5 original art pieces in homes under the Pay it Forward label. Lets do more this year.
