Announcement   I believe spirituality and creativity are inherently linked, and I find comfort in combining the spiritual with the tactile. Can you meditate without a mala? Of course! Can you pray without a rosary? Of course! But we are physical creatures, and I like giving the body a way to take part in spiritual practice. Moving a bead at a time helps to focus intent. I consider it an honor to create these items, and I am thankful for being able to share them with you.

I started making malas because I wanted to chose the materials they were made of. I seek to use sustainable materials wherever possible. Initially I used 100% hemp, but found that was impractical due to the way natural gemstones are drilled. The threads I use now are hemp/cotton blends, and are doubled over at least twice for extra strength. They may feel stiff at first but they will loosen up with use.

I started making rosaries because I wanted to create a gift for my newborn niece. This opened the door for me to expand my creativity and learn something new. At the present my beads are purchased new, but I am interested in using upcycled materials.

I thank you for viewing my shop and welcome any comments, suggestions, or insight you would like to share.

If you are interested in a custom mala, rosary, or a different form of prayer bead altogether, please email me.

In peace, light, and love,
Sarah
