Back in 2009 I found myself at an impasse. I had just given birth to my second daughter and was sorely lacking any feeling of purpose or passion. While I loved being home with my children, Alyssa and Chiara, I missed the hustle and bustle of being a manager, and the deep satisfaction I had felt when I was a professional pianist.
Limited by my Rheumatoid Arthritis, I felt like my life was plain and dull.

One day in early 2009, a good friend came to my house and showed me a few of the little girls' pillowcase dresses she had just made. I will never forget how all my senses pricked up. I kept staring at the beautifully vivid colors of the fabrics, and how artfully my friend had combined different patterns for the finished look. The passion I had once felt while playing the piano came flooding back. I begged my friend to teach me how to sew and she willingly complied.

In the years and many thousand hours of sewing since, this passion has never left me.
I get ridiculously excited every time one of my favorite fabric designers releases a new line. I spend hours printing out fabric swatches and playing with them until I find the perfect combinations. The design process is not any faster. There are so many lovely sewing patterns, and I take pride in making them my own, adding a little ruffle here or a cute button there. Sewing a new dress almost feels like giving life to me.

The dresses in my shop are all handmade. I carefully cut the fabrics and sew for hours until I feel the dress is perfect. I don't take short cuts, and infuse my love and passion for design into each and every creation.

I am originally from Europe, but moved to Hawaii in my early 20s. After many wonderful years in the islands, my family relocated to Washington State in 2015. It's been quite a change and my children are still learning to wear socks and shoes during the colder months!
