About SunRayPottery

On Etsy since 2020

A recent graduate and ceramicist of six years, this is the beginning of my career as a potter.

My name is Rachel Gunsch, and I am a North Carolina potter. I recently graduated from Warren Wilson College and have decided to pursue my passion for ceramics as a professional endeavor. Over the summer, I built a studio so that I can continue working with clay. Some of my work is inspired by places that I traveled to while studying abroad. Others were acts of creativity or the development of my craft. I am currently creating new lines of work that form coherent sets and collections. All of my work is microwave, oven, and dishwasher safe. It is my hope that these pieces will be put to regular use and bring joy to moments that are often overlooked.

I create functional ceramics that are intended to reveal the beauty in everyday objects and moments. I hope my work will encourage those who use it to be present and aware of their experience with the piece.
