About SunshineandRavioli

Sales 9,995

Video summary: Where our paper rosette ornaments begin, on our rotary paper cutter...

Welcome to happy & nostalgic, feel good paper!

Paper is fascinating. It's a simple medium that hasn't changed that much over the years, but the infinite number of things that can be made/done with it is just so fun. It’s such a thrill to
design pieces that give customers all the feels—feeling loved, feeling remembered, feeling proud, feeling nostalgic, feeling happy. From bookplates to thank you cards, holiday cards, décor and a host more, my feels come from being so lucky to do what I love.

Sunshine and Ravioli - where did that name come from? It’s a story that goes
back to the early 2000s. The movie Elf came out while I was trying to come up with the business name and my kids loved it (we still laugh through it every year). We wore out the soundtrack from the movie and one of our favorite singalong songs, “Pennies from Heaven” by Louis Prima held the key to Mom's new business name. In one particularly "sing at the top of your lungs" worthy verse of the song, the lyrics include “Sunshine and Ravioli”. It stuck. Years later, it still makes my heart smile every time I think about those little nuggets (now grown and off to live their own lives) sitting in the back seat, singing that song at the top of their lungs as we drove down the highway. The name captures everything I want to share with my customers—happy nostalgia, warm and fuzzy memories.

Thank you so much for shopping small and supporting creatively handmade. I’m very glad you’re here!

Fun Tidbits About "Sunshine" (aka Stephanie)!
• Favorite dessert is peach cobbler—add homemade vanilla ice cream and seriously- perfection!
• Will watch anything with Tom Hanks in it
• Tex Mex is my everything
• Lived all over the US (except the Pacific Coast) and parts of Europe
• Married to my best friend for 29 years in 2019, Mom of 2 great kids (adults now, gulp!)
• Owned by one adorable rescued chocolate lab mix puppy named Darcy and three charming (but very cranky about the puppy) cats: Maggie, Zoe, and Kira (who thinks she's a dog and loves to play fetch)

Don't you offer wedding invitations? I found this photo on Pinterest - can you still make it?

First, congratulations on your engagement! In 2018, I decided to move in a different creative direction, closing my bridal department and opening a new line of everyday stationery, custom bookplates and seasonal decor. I no longer keep the raw materials needed to make quality wedding stationery. If you have arrived here from a Pinterest link, I apologize for the inconvenience but encourage you to browse Etsy for a treasure chest of talented bridal stationery designers!

Are your bookplates self-adhesive? Acid-free?

Yes to both! All bookplates are "peel and stick" style, made with stationery quality, acid-free papers and adhesives.

Love this notepad! Do you offer personalization beyond customizing the name?

Thanks! The answer is: maybe. Please send me a note detailing changes you want to make and we can explore your options.
