About

Giving new life to forgotten fabrics, laces, and notions

Hello! My name is Tricia, and I'm the creator of Sunshower Flowers. I have always had a love of creating art in many forms. I'm also a photographer, and it just so happens my flower business blossomed because of photography. Back in 2012, I began getting more creative styling my shoots and started making my own props. I fell in love with making flowers and figured out all kinds of ways to use them. Not long after because of friends encouraging me, I decided to open my shop. I picked my shop name one day when I went on a long walk with my then two-year-old son. We had just turned to walk back home when the sun continued to shine, but it started pouring rain. I quickly picked him up and ran, only to realize we were going to get soaked no matter what. My son was laughing and enjoying every drop, so I put him down and we played in the rain for quite some time as the sun shone down on us. During some major puddle-jumping, I told him we were playing in a Sunshower. He was beaming and so was I. It felt like one of those simple, magical moments that strips away the mundane. I decided it was a perfect fit for my shop because like that moment, being able to do what I love is magical. Taking forgotten vintage wedding dresses, formal wear, and lace, and making something new and beautiful to be treasured once again is magical. It's the little things, the details, the love put into each stitch, that truly sets my business apart. I enjoy collaborating so much, so please come with your own ideas if you like, and let us see what we can create!
