St. Gertrude= had to have it. It's really awesome in person, AND big enough for FJL wrists. ;)

All the stuff is even cuter in real life- and there's nothing better than stuff you like to look at even when you're not wearing it.

Chaos Comes Before Creation

I'm always looking at things and imagining them as other things. I've done this since I was a child. I used to stare at the shapeless forms on my Nanny's wallpaper and think that I saw the moving faces of lions. Now I look at vibrant threads and yarns or old outdated needlework patterns and imagine things that they'll become. It's really pretty much the same.

I began sewing doll clothes as a child, using scraps from my Mamaw's job as a seamstress. My Nanny taught me how to knit and do needlepoint, cross-stitch, & crewel embroidery. I taught myself to crochet when I was pregnant with my son. I still love learning new stitches of all kinds and am always willing to try and make new things. I also paint, draw, make accessories / jewelry, write, grow herbs, and cook yummy food.

I've been selling online and at craft fairs since 2005. Sometimes my kids help with photos. Ira J. Goldberg is a 4-legged companion, but I make sure he stays out of the textiles. All items are made by me in my smoke-free pet-friendly home and shipped by me at my local post office.

I have to admit I am influenced by my epilepsy. Sometimes I get a sense of color so strong that it's palpable. I can also taste chocolate in my dreams :)

To the poet, to the philosopher, to the saint, all things are friendly and sacred, all events profitable, all days holy, all men divine. For the eye is fastened on the life, and slights the circumstance. Every chemical substance, every plant, every animal in its growth, teaches the unity of cause, the variety of appearance.

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
