I started selling my miniature work (play!!) on Etsy originaly because my husband refused to give me any more money to make new stuff! But I have discovered such a joy in creating 1:12 pieces, and a real happiness in hearing how they are making other people happy! A couple years ago I made a set of Adirondack chairs for a wedding cake top. I had never heard of such a thing! Well, that one set has blossomed into over 200 sets! And though it takes time away from working on my miniatures, I feel I am helping these people out because apparently it is difficult to find chairs that will fit on a 6" cake top. So I have filled a need! I will continue to work on my miniatures until it is no longer fun - which I can't imagine! I love my workshop with its smaller-scale power tools and sawdust everywhere! To sit on the couch and stitch is so calming for me. I have the freedom to use any color paint in the rainbow! What a blast!
So in-between taking care of my boys (just turned 18) and concerts (I am a pianist), I will cut, and sand, and sand and paint and stitch and love every minute.
