Most of my work is a mix of wheel thrown and slip casted pieces. I also make all of my own molds. All of the pieces presently in my shop are made with low fire white clay. According to the clay and glaze manufacturers, it's best to keep the pieces out of the dishwasher and the microwave. So please hand wash. The danger is that the piece could possibly crack.
Due to issues with international deliveries, I only have prices listed for USA, CANADA. If you are interested in a piece, please email me with your address/Country and I will give you a shipping cost/quote within 24 hours.

5 out of 5 starsSorry for late review. I was so excited to receive this to gift my friend and was actually jealous I gifted it as a Christmas present. It was bigger than I thought it would be and I was so pleased it actually sat on the hands.

Here you will find some very unique pottery...tiles, cups, bowls, jars with a bit of creep and cool thrown in.
Kniffin Pottery first opened on Etsy back in 2007.
I was educated in ceramics at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and graduated back in 1997 with a BFA in Ceramics. I've done numerous art shows, mainly in Chicago and Seattle. I presently work out of my Detroit Studio.
Most of my work is a mix of wheel thrown and slip casted pieces. You can get a very unique look by mixing the two. I also enjoy making all of my own molds. I use low fire white clay with food safe glazes. According to the clay and glaze manufacturers, it's best to keep the pieces out of the dishwasher and the microwave. So please hand wash. I try my best to make pieces that are a good mix of creepy and cool (sometimes the cute gets mixed in).
