Here you will find some very unique pottery...tiles, cups, bowls, jars with a bit of creepy and cool thrown in.

Kniffin Pottery first opened on Etsy back in 2007.
I was educated in ceramics at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and graduated back in 1997 with a BFA in Ceramics. I've done numerous art shows, mainly in Chicago and Seattle. I presently work out of my Detroit Studio.
Most of my work is a mix of wheel thrown and slip casted pieces. You can get a very unique look by mixing the two. I also enjoy making all of my own molds. Beginning of 2023, most of the items in my shop are now made with a mid range clay, fired to cone 5 or 6 (2168 to 2232 degrees F, the listing will state what temp and what type of clay was used). I use food safe glazes on all my glazed pieces.
I try my best to make pieces that are a good mix of creepy and cool...sometimes the cute gets mixed in.
