The Timeless Treasures of Yesterday
I began Vintage Grace as HandmadeByGrace, showcasing my vintage-inspired cards and gift tags. After a time, my love of vintage design led me to dabble in buying some vintage items and placing them in my shop. As I watched my stats, I noticed I was getting more views of vintage items than of my cards and tags . . . and so began my love affair with selling vintage!
I find some of my items in thrift stores, but my husband and I love to attend the local estate auction every week. This is where I fall in love with all the treasures that have been loved in years past. The bulk of my inventory is from these estates, where many items were used and loved by ordinary women, much like you, and occasionally I'll find something that was stored away, saved for "someday." These treasures touch my heart because they represent entire lifetimes of everyday living - women who loved, hoped, and dreamed just as you and I do. I find great satisfaction in offering these items to you to be loved once again.
I take great care in my selection of vintage items. I rarely buy anything that I wouldn't love to keep for myself - in fact, many times I have a hard time deciding whether to keep that beautiful tablecloth or use it on my own table! Most of my treasures have been loved and used, so they're not perfect, but I do my best to ensure that each item is in good shape. I disclose any imperfections such as stains, holes, or rips so that you know exactly what you're getting.
In addition to vintage items, I offer a selection of handmade items, many of them repurposed from vintage items that have seen better days. Others are made from new materials from patterns I love and that I think you will enjoy using.
Thank you for your interest in my shop, and may God bless you today!
