About

A Glimpse into my Studio.

I live in Pointe-Claire ( Montréal ), Quebec, Canada. I have a home based studio and showroom. This allows me the flexibility to go and work in my studio at any time. I have two sales per year in my showroom. One in early June when the garden is in bloom and one in early November.

I make functional pottery using either earthenware or stoneware clay. I hope that those who purchase my work will enjoy using it as much as I enjoy making it.

Most of my work is thrown and trimmed on the potter's wheel.
I test and make all my own glazes which can be a time-consuming process in itself.
All the brushwork, such as the "Blueberry Collection", is done by hand. For the blueberry motif alone, I use 5 brushes.
I fire my work in an electric kiln twice. First in a bisque kiln to harden the clay, then I glaze and do the brushwork , after which it goes into the kiln again at a higher temperature for the glazes to melt properly.

All work is food, microwave, oven and dishwasher safe.

I have been a potter since 1976. I still enjoy working in clay. I am constantly being inspired in life to create new work. There is nothing more rewarding than to know that my work is appreciated and used daily by so many people. Thanks!
