About

Lovely fabrics and papers crafted into fun, colorful gift items.

I am a mother of three grown children and have 2 dogs keeping me company in my studio while I work. I'm also a Health Coach and am almost as passionate about my vegetable garden as I am about fabric.

I love to feast my eyes and run my hands over beautiful colors and textures. I've been working with and collecting fabrics and papers most of my life, working with it is my therapy, when life gets stressful, I sit down and craft something and everything feels right again. My education is in architecture and I've always enjoyed fine detailing and model building, I've tried my hand in every medium, clay, glass, fabric, paper, yarn, paint, cardboard etc., but I always return to fabric! If you find something you want to purchase you can be assured that it will be made lovingly by me with the very finest attention to every detail.

Most of the materials I use for the items I have listed were purchased in Tokyo, Japan while living there for 4 years. I started my shop in 2012, after being back in Oregon for 10 years. I decided that it was time to stop looking at my beautiful papers and fabrics and start making something out of them. At the time I also had lots of wooden Tea boxes that I cover with washi paper, having saturated my list of people to give them to, I started selling them. Unfortunately I have used up my supply and have no way of getting anymore, I do have a few left for special orders, mostly very large sizes.

I make what I make because I love the materials I work with. I love to touch, feel and look at the beautiful papers and fabrics I've collected. I began covering Tea Boxes while living in Japan because to me the Japanese Tea Box is simply a perfect box, it's sturdy and useful yet graceful and beautifully proportioned. I'm very meticulous with my detailing and am always careful to preserve the clean sharp lines of a box. All of my pieces are OOAK.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
  • Money Order
  • Check
Payment
I prefer PayPal as it is quickest and easiest for both parties. I will accept money orders and checks if needed though, as long as you are willing to wait a little longer to receive your purchase while I await the checks arrival and deposit.
Shipping
I mail all of my flat items and smaller boxes via USPS, priority mail. In the USA it generally takes 3-5 business days to reach its destination. I will always ship within a day of receipt of payment. If for some reason that isn't possible I will convo you to let you know. My larger boxes are priced to be sent via UPS ground and would include a tracking number.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you are truly unhappy with your purchase, I will work with you to replace it with something more to your liking. If it is damaged in shipping we can certainly deal with that problem when it is returned to me.
Additional policies and FAQs
I will very happily take custom orders. I have so many papers and fabrics to choose from and like nothing more than to make a special box for someone in exactly the color, pattern and style they are after.
