Sewing is my life!

I started sewing when I was 14 years old and have never stopped. It came easy to me from the very start. I made my first wedding gown at the age of 17.

I continued to sew making dresses, pants, blazers, blouses, wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, prom gowns, madrigal gowns, pretty much anything that comes with a pattern.

In 2001 I started my own business, Alterations by Sue. www.alterationsbysue.com

In 2007 I started making costumes for theater productions such as The Music Man, The Sound of Music, Thouroughly Modern Millie, A Midsummer Nights Dream, and Going My Way.

In 2009 I was asked to make costumes for a Chicago Off Broadway production, The Marvelous Wonderettes'. A very proud and exciting experience for me!

In 2009 I also started my etsy shop for 18 inch doll clothes. I'd been making and selling doll clothes at craft shows for many years. Etsy has been a very positive move for me, it keeps my creative juices flowing! Making doll clothes has always been my passion and I will do it for many years to come!
