I gather the inspiration for my artwork from nature, dance, and the celebration of children and cultures from around the world. I enjoy bringing a strong sense of hope, inspiration and life affirming messages to my work. For many years this has found its voice in fiber arts, especially batik and dye painting. In recent years, watercolor painting has also become a passion.

I love to bring the creative experience to students of all ages. As a teacher, I love it when a student gets excited about the creative process! When I hear them go “cool” or “wow,” it makes my day. I love trying new things and am always developing new art experiences. Sea weed marbling and studying art from other parts of the world are projects I have researched and brought to my students in recent months.
