Recycling or Upcycling - giving the discarded a second life of usefulness

I started my shop to help my daughter get hers going. She has temporarily gone in a different direction, and I am still here with my crafting business to keep me busy.

Multiple Sclerosis has limited the size of projects I take on, and quilting is no longer possible. I work from my wheelchair on a variety of creative recycling projects including die cut gift tags, plastic canvas crosses, ichthys, and birds, and my crocheted can tab flowers. My kitties, furry supervisors, keep me company as I turn rescued materials into wonderful items with a second life of usefulness.

I transform rescued and recycled items whenever possible. These materials come from two wonderful nonprofits: FabMo, Fabric & More, diverting designer samples from our landfill, and SCRAP, Scrounger’s Center for Reusable Art Parts, where you can find just about anything. I have also taken in materials from those who no longer plan on using them.

I run every aspect of my business personally. All items in my shop are made by me, and I hope you receive them with the joy I had in their creation.

Returns and exchange details
I do not charge a return or restocking fee. Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, and since shipping is a service provided by a third party, postage cannot be refunded. International and custom orders cannot be returned.
Multiple items are packaged together when possible, which may save on shipping depending on weight.
I combine shipping when multiple items are ordered as stated in Payment Policy. For security, I only ship to the address specified by your payment method. Most packages will be sent using USPS the next business day after receiving your payment; the same day if possible. I will contact you when your item is shipped so you can expect it.

Insurance and Tracking:
I have not opted you into these additional postal services, but if you wish to pay for package insurance, delivery or signature confirmation, please let me know and I will gladly add them to your invoice at their current rate.

Keeping Down the Shipping Charges:
I am very aware of the ever-escalating cost of shipping. If your order fits in a Flat Rate Priority Mail box, I will use that as long as the postage if sent in a regular box would be higher. For smaller orders or items that just won't fit in those Flat Rate boxes, I will use recycled boxes and packing materials. We do rely on a third party to deliver packages from my shop to your door. Given the distances covered and the relative time it takes them to deliver, their service is still a good value.
Additional policies and FAQs
International Customers:
I do ship internationally when political and economic issues make it possible. Check with your post office first regarding their import rules, as some of my items may not be allowed in your country. All shipping fees including import, duty, tariff, VAT, or customs fees are the responsibility of the buyer. I will fill out customs forms accurately. There are no returns on international orders. I am shipping from the United States and delivery time varies by country, but it can take several weeks for your package to arrive, longer if it gets held up in customs.

Custom Orders:
If you see something you like but prefer a different color or quantity, please contact me. I am honored to create just for you, when time and materials allow. I work with rescued materials and many of my items are uniquely one-of-a-kind. After payment has been received, I will start your custom order and send you an email when it ships. Custom orders cannot be returned.

Item Availability:
Many of my items are true one-of-a-kind (OOAK) creations, as I prefer to work with rescued/recycled materials, and I couldn’t make them again, even if I wanted to. Most of my items are available at local craft fairs. I am quick to remove unique items after they are sold, but in the unexpected event that an item is sold locally, I will make every effort to find a suitable replacement or refund the transaction with my sincerest apologies.

Tag Designs:
I use a Sizzix die cut machine and dies to make most of my tags and embellishments. These designs are copyrighted by Sizzix and used with permission per their angel policy.
