About suzannie
Knitting and sewing turned from hobbies into a love affair with craft!
In 2006 I was single, employed and debt free enjoying life in Madison, Wisconsin. When I realized that I spent more hours each week knitting than working (which was saying a lot since I worked 50+ much of the time) I decided to take advantage of my lack of obligations to make a career shift and follow my passion for knitting.
After a move back to my home state and parents' house in Canton, Ohio, I began my dream of knitting for my living by creating my Etsy shop in February of 2007. Within a few months I had built an inventory and began doing small craft shows, local events and farmers' markets. I design nearly all items myself and knit every item by hand. In 2013 I added sewn items to my offerings as well after beginning to sew for my own babes and friends. Of course, I also managed all of the logistics and business details as well.
In the ensuing years, my business and my Etsy shop have had periods of my full attention and have had times where they were on cruise control. 2008 brought a move to a new city (Cleveland, Ohio) along with marriage to my wonderful husband Erich. 2010 brought the birth of our first child, Grace. 2012 brought our second, Charles. 2014 brought a move to Akron, Ohio and 2015 brought our third kiddo, Franklin. To our great surprise and joy, 2017 brought along baby number four - Elizabeth.
Time for making goodies is super precious these days, but I gobble it up when I can. Making useful and beautiful things feeds my soul. I am re-creating my little business amidst the glorious mess of mothering - one project at a time. I’m also emptying my hefty stashes of yarn, beads and a variety of other craft supplies while I’m at it.

Suzanne Kohring Reich
Owner, Maker, Designer
Once upon a time, I made all the goodies in my shop. I used to use up most of my free time in the making, and the rest in the selling them at local shows. Now I tend my four kiddos, make things when I can, and sell supplies for the attic space.
