At the sewing machine.
Suzielou creates bold and beautiful children's accessories and artwork.
Suzielou Textiles was set up in 2011, when my children were very small. During this period I craved more personal items for my boys to enjoy, that something a little bit special and unique but practical too so I dusted my trusty sewing machine off and started prototyping bags and blankets and sourcing brightly coloured fabrics and designs. In the shop you will find my own handlebar bag design for kids that can be personalised, baby blankets and pyjama cushion covers. New for 2020 are my art prints, greetings cards and personalised birth prints. These include my signature rainbow design which was created during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Suzie Cumming is a fashion and textile design graduate with a passion for colour and pattern. She designs and develops products for the children’s market alongside her painting practice in which she produces acrylic and mixed media paintings.
Shop policies
The main aim for my Suzielou shop is to create unique products of high quality that inject a sense of happiness and fun in to everyday life. You will be able to tell from the listings in my shop that bold and beautiful colours are my thing and I hope you will get pleasure in browsing and hopefully buying something that catches your eye.
You can rest assured that everything in my shop has been made and finished with due care and attention. All the textiles are hand finished by me in my studio in Cornwall and I take care in double checking everything that I send out. Prints are printed with pigment inks to make sure a long lifetime is achieved.

Returns and exchange details
In the case of all returns or exchanges, you will be responsible for the return shipping charges. Your money will be refunded once the item has arrived with me and I am satisfied that it is in perfect condition.

Please note that payment is due at time of purchase.
Shipping
I aim to dispatch UK items within 3-5 working days of the purchase date but often this is much sooner. Postage is by 1st Class Royal Mail unless otherwise stated and usually takes from 1-3 days from the dispatch date.
***INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING***
I aim to dispatch international orders within 3-5 working days of the purchase date. Postage is by Royal Mail Airmail small packets, unless otherwise stated. This can take anything from 5 days to one month to arrive from the time of dispatch. Please allow one full month for delivery. If you require a speedier form of shipping then please contact me and we can arrange an alternative for an extra charge depending on the location.

I always obtain proof of dispatch for every item but cannot take responsibility for loss or damage by the postage system. If you require tracking then please contact me and we can arrange a new shipping price.
