Finishing up this centerpiece. I think it came out so pretty in hot pink ink with turquoise ribbon. Love those colors together!
Getting some inspiration while having fun with the family!
The finished product! Now I just need to let it dry, add ribbon and it will be ready to send to my customer. Love the purple!

How Suzy's Sentiments came to be

Suzy's Sentiments began in 2002 when I became a stay-at-home Mom to a beautiful baby girl after teaching public school for nine years.

While being a Mom fulfilled me so much, I found a need to have something for myself in a creative way. When my husband was working his second job and the baby was asleep for the night, I let my imagination run wild and started crafting.

At that time, I enjoyed packing up my car with all of my designs and bringing them to craft fairs to meet people and sell my product. After doing this for eight years, I found that it just wasn't working for my growing, busy family. I wondered what I could do since I still loved creating and didn't want to lose that in my life. As it would happen, someone at a craft fair mentioned Etsy to me. You see, it was meant to be! I came home, looked up the site and fell in love. I opened up my shop in March of 2010 selling a much different inventory than what I do now.

I love browsing and finding really unique and colorful card stock to make my passport covers, luggage tags and checkbook covers from. Early on, I created templates to cut all of my paper from. I add a coordinating 110 lb. card stock background to each piece to enhance the design and sturdiness of the item. Cutting each piece by hand makes for a beautiful item as close to perfect as any handmade item can be :)

The concept for my hand stamped products come to fruition from an idea or central theme that I want to create. Then I add phrases and/or designs to make each creation tasteful and eye catching. The next step is to choose the ink colors and ink the edges of the cards. This really adds to the charm of the decoration and gives it vintage flare. Each product features letters, decorative pictures or numbers. After drying time, the item is hung or knotted with ribbon. The last step is to carefully package the item with TLC and send it off to my waiting customer!

My business has evolved so much since 2010. I can honestly say that I am so proud of handcrafting the items I offer! My business is growing and I feel like I have the perfect mix of enjoying family time and running Suzy's Sentiments!

N.J. residents will be charged 7% sales tax on purchases.
Shipping
I ship first class with delivery confirmation in the U.S. A Priority upgrade is available upon checkout (Please note that purchasing this does not decrease my production time).

International shipments (Canada included) are mailed using USPS International First Class. A tracking number is not available for all International Shipments that ship First Class Mail. If your country is one that is not supported with tracking and would like a tracking number, I can send your item/items Priority Mail at an additional charge. Please contact me.

I will combine shipping when customer purchases more than one item. My policy is to refund any shipping overages more than $1.50. Please note that shipping to countries other than the U.S. may take longer than 5-14 days. In rare cases, it can take up to 8 weeks.

**The Buyer is responsible for knowing what items can be legally purchased and imported into their own country. UK & INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: Please be aware that you will be responsible for any taxes, VAT, customs duties, handling/brokering fees or other amounts that may be levied by your home country for importing. Please check with your Customs office and/or Postal Service if you are concerned about possible tariffs. Our government requires a customs declaration of value form on all parcels leaving the USA.

Legally, I cannot declare any items you purchase as a gift.

I cannot control what the post office will do with packages after they have been shipped. But, if something has happened to the package in transit, please contact me. We will work together to find out what is delaying your package's delivery. Sometimes adding a request for email updates will get a stalled package moving again.

Rarely a package will show as delivered on tracking when it hasn't been. Sometimes it will show up in your mailbox within a day or two. If it remains missing within a few days, please check with other family members, neighbors and your postal carrier to see if someone took in the package and forgot to tell you or the carrier remembers where they left it. If it is still missing, contact me. Together we will try to find out where it is. We will file a report with USPS for lost or stolen mail and you may be asked to file a police report if it was deemed stolen.

Please make sure your current mailing address matches on both Etsy and Paypal so that I know where to ship your item/items. Returned packages due to an incorrect address can be refunded minus shipping or resent with customer paying to have it reshipped.
Refunds and Exchanges
I have taken great time and effort to describe and photo my items so that you know exactly what you are purchasing. However, I am a very reasonable person, so if you are dissatisfied in any way with my product, I will do my best to accommodate you. Please contact me within 3 days of receiving your order to inquire about a refund or exchange. I will refund or exchange an item (minus shipping) with something of equal value or you can put it toward the purchase of a more expensive item. Domestic returns must be made within 14 days from delivery date. International returns must be postmarked within 14 days from delivery date. This does not include custom orders. Custom orders where personalization has been done cannot be refunded because the item can't be resold. Buyer will be responsible for shipping the item back to me with delivery confirmation and in the same condition as received using First Class Mail. Once it has been received and I've checked it to ensure it is in resaleable condition, a refund will be given minus shipping.

Please contact me within 3 days from delivery date if your item has been damaged during shipping. Also, hold onto the shipping materials because I may need photos of the shipping materials as well as the damaged item/s.

INSURANCE: For orders that are insured (generally orders $50 or more) In order to refund or replace an item not received the insurer has certain requirements including: "The recipient, or for loss claims, the intended recipient, MUST assist in the claims process. They must sign an affidavit stating damage or non receipt". Therefore, as I'm sure you understand, I will need your cooperation and will be more than happy to refund/replace for lost in the mail merchandise when I have the affidavit from you. They also require that the recipient keep all packaging for damaged goods and may require photos. Thank you for your cooperation should the unthinkable happen.

Colors may appear differently on computer monitors. While I try to describe and photograph the colors as close to actual color/shade as possible, there may be a slight variation. If you are needing an exact shade of a color, please request a sample prior to purchasing.

I will also furnish a sample stamped card upon request so customers can see a sample of the chip board and font I use for orders. Please note that chip board shades may vary slightly.

I will gladly accept custom orders. I can do most themes for each of my products.
