I admit Sweet Cheeks seems like an odd name for a bath and body and home fragrance company. But as most things do, it made sense at the time.

I started making primarily baby products. My son had eczema and sensitive skin. Frustrated trying to find things that worked I finally began to make my own. Then I started giving lotion to friends that had children with eczema and diaper cream to friends that were cloth diapering.

As a pretty new mom myself, I liked sharing things that worked for me. Then one night a friend asked me to go out for wine and I declined. I had to make some products for friends that were waiting.

She said, "Girl, if this is cutting into wine time, you need to start charging." An idea was born, or a sparked sparked. It was exactly the right thing at the right time and ahead I went. Then I had to figure out the name of the business. I wanted it to be tied to my children that inspired it, but wasn't sure how to do that. Then one day my daughter came in the kitchen as I was sitting there contemplating.

"Come here sweet cheeks," I said scooping into my lap for a nuzzle and hug. My husband half yelps half screams, "that is it!"

"That is what?!" I asked.

"That is your name."

Confused I asked, "what?" What are you talking about?"

"Sweet Cheeks. That is what you call the kids all the time, it is the perfect name. That was almost 7 years ago. And while we still make diaper cream and baby butter we have added so much more.

Back in the beginning I did lot and lots of research and the more I researched the more I really became whole hog committed to staying away from fragrance oils, mineral oil or anything that was not purely natural.

That commitment remains today. All our products are scented with essential oils never fragrance.
