Announcement   Thank you for visiting Sweet Elyse.

As a mummy of boys I live for those girlie moments, tea and cakes in the garden, pretty dresses and shiny bangles and sweet flowers such as peonies, tea roses, violets and rustic gypsophelia.

I love the whole make do and mend mentality that is sweeping the nation, as a child of war era parents the shabby chic way of life is something that comes naturally. I love creating a home from items that have a story themselves and connect us each generation down the line.

I love creating new products from old and making love to make houses feel like homes,
and hope that we can do the same for you, if you have any questions, comments or suggestions please feel free to contact us at any point.

About

Creating Pretty things since 1984

I have always been a creator, seeing the pretty in everything around me it was hard to not want to take pretty things and create something equally as nice but with my own creative touch.

It started with toilet roll pencil holders, pom pom snowmen and a phase of glittering anything I could get my hands on. Growing up I found it hard when I couldn't get things 'perfect' and it was at the age of 16 that I realised what made a crafter an artist. I believe an artists is someone who creates with a passion, knowing they are not perfect at everything they create but are confident and happy with the end results. It's those 'mistakes' and those varied end results that give an artist a style.

I have a passion for my home and my family so it was only natural that I connected this with my creativity, I know love to create illustrations that reignite innocent moments and I love to sew home decor items that will turn your home in to a sanctuary, creating memories and items that can be passed from generation to generation.

I love pretty things, fabrics in a variety of textures, making your home a sanctuary and remembering those little memories and events that make you smile. It's these things that inspire me to create. Hugs & Kisses, Elyse x
