The colors and patterns were exactly as shown. The fabrics weren't as big as I thought they would be though.

About

Fabrics, accessories & supplies inspired by the South American Andean cultures in Peru, Argentina and Bolivia

Sweet Llama Supplies started with a love for the colorful handwoven textiles crafted in the Andean cultures of South America. Originally made from llama, alpaca or sheep wool, these textiles are woven with patterns representing stories and native values.

When I moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2011 I discovered these colorful textiles being produced with other fibers that were still of a high quality and came in a wide variety of woven patterns. These acrylic aguayo fabrics are the perfect material for creating fashion accessories, home decor and other crafts.

Sweet Llama Supplies is now not only an online source for modern aguayo fabrics but also for a variety of Latin American jewelry and crafting supplies directly from Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Guatemala and more.

I hope you enjoy my finds and creations!

►►► SEWING TIPS for working with woven fabrics:

+ To help with fraying edges, use the sewing machine's smallest zig zag stitch along the edges.

+ For no-sew options, you can use clear finger polish to seal the edges or a product like "Fray Check", available at most craft supply stores.
