I've always lived to create--jewelry, paintings, sewing, food. I take pleasure in learning new skills and paying attention to the details of my surroundings. On long walks, our Puerto Rican rescue dog, Pippa, draws my attention to the little things I might not otherwise notice. She's also my loyal studio companion.

I make my jewelry in my studio in our south Williamsburg, Brooklyn loft. I use reclaimed/recycled/sustainable metals and conflict-free diamonds/gemstones whenever possible. I get some of my original pieces cast locally in recycled precious metals to help me cut down on some of the more labor intensive work.

I love the color pink, stinky cheeses, haiku, early mornings at the farmers market, furry animals, fragrant flowers, wandering the side-streets of Italy and my generous and supportive husband, family and friends.

I do my best to avoid sharks, cocktail parties and inconsiderate people.

    Dec 15–16

Now in our 11th year, The Handmade Cavalcade is the annual holiday market produced by NYC's Etsy Team- The NY Handmade Collective. Our first Cavalcade market will take place on Small Business Saturday weekend, November 24-25, at the Invisible Dog. Next up is our week-long pop-up inside Chelsea Market, December 3-9. Finally, on December 15-16, visit us at the Brooklyn Historical Society to close out the season. We are so proud to be the only all-volunteer, vendor-run handmade market in NYC, and we bring the same imagination that we use in our work to the production of our retail events. Each Cavalcade marketplace will offer a carefully crafted selection of vendors to make sure you have the greatest variety of handmade goods to fall in love with. We’ll also have interactive demos courtesy of Blick Art Materials, and we’ll be giving away special gifts and prizes via our raffles and goody bags!

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders

I am happy to discuss options for custom variations on anything you see in my shop. Unfortunately, I cannot work with customers's own stones/gold and cannot take on commissions for entirely new designs.

Sizing details

There can be slight variations in ring sizing due to discrepancies in sizing tools/methods and ring widths and silhouettes. I recommend going to at least two different jewelry stores to be sized, preferably in the ring style/width you plan to purchase. I can convert foreign sizes into US sizes upon request.

I do offer free re-sizing on most rings, provided the customer pays the shipping charge both ways. Some rings (eternity bands, custom engraved bands, heat-senstive stone rings, etc.) can only be re-sized/re-made for a fee.

Care instructions

Most jewelry is safe for daily wear and various low-impact activities. However, it is best to keep your items from coming in contact with chemicals, detergents, chlorine, saltwater, etc. Some stones (like opal, drusy and turquoise) are more delicate and require extra caution. You can keep your silver and gold jewelry shiny with a polishing cloth. Vermeil items should be gently cleaned with mild soap and water only.

Gift wrapping and packaging

All jewelry comes packaged in a jewelry box embossed with my Sweet Olive Jewelry logo. I will package multiple items in the same box unless you request individual boxes. I offer gift wrapping for a small added fee. Please let me know if your order is going directly to the gift recipient and I will include a gift receipt only.

Besides resizing/exchanging, I can offer refunds on items that are not custom or personalized. However, items with free shipping will be refunded MINUS the actual shipping charge (less than $5 for First Class Mail).
