Announcement   I create decorative art that gives instant character and flair to any Shabby Chic - French Chic - French Nordic or Farmhouse decor. I give new life and purpose to only quality vintage or rescued castoff items that have good bones. I creatively restyle, which often means adding or taking away something. I use the best materials along with my own hand mixed chalk paints, faux painting techniques and methods of ageing and distressing. If you love French or Shabby Chic decor and Gardening, I invite you to visit my Home and Garden FB page and give it a like. I use my page to inspire creativity in women. I think all women are nest builders and have creative blood running through their veins. https://www.facebook.com/SweetPeaVintageArt

About

My Journey To Etsy

> I am a self taught artist, I started creating at a very young age. I loved being in the woods out back of our house, creating things from what ever nature provided >Over the years my taste changed, I am always trying something new, improving on my own style and methods, I was never one to follow instructions. > For 12 years I took part in numerous juror arts and craft shows in the mid-west and south. During this time of traveling, my path crossed with a national wholesale rep. who liked my style, he asked me to join him in selling my art, via the large wholesale markets. around the country, Chicago, New York, L.A, etc, this required me to mass produce select pieces, I did this for 18 years I employed 5 full time women and 6 part time. > During the last years, I yearned to get back to creating one of a kind art, I could only dream about it but could never find the time. In 2001 I had some serious health issues which forced me to finally close down my wholesale business. After a period of time, God opened another door for me, that was Etsy, I have gone full circle, I'm back to my roots of creating original works of art and really enjoying life again. I made a lot of money during those years but I've learned money isn't everything. GOD BLESS
