Creative Venture that Turned into a Full Time Career
It all started with trip into a fabric store with my daughter and seeing a coat pattern that I thought if done a little differently could be a fun coat for her. When I couldn't get my buttonhole attachment to work, the contrasting bound buttonhole idea was born. It wasn't long before family members were requesting their own "Joan Coat". Before I knew it I had made more than a dozen of them. An Etsy shop was the solution to the many compliments and requests for their own that I received. The coat has evolved with the addition of an optional hood, plus sizes, tweed & wool options and many other tweaks along the way.
Customers are provided with an information sheet and exterior fabric selection chart that helps make the custom-design process easy and fast.

Returns and exchange details
7 days: If you are unhappy with purchase I will refund you purchase price (less shipping) after I receive your unused and unworn return. You are responsible for return shipping.
Made to order coats and dresses are custom orders are non-refundable.
If I have made an error in fulfilling your order please contact me and I will make every effort to correct the problem in a timely manner.
Payment
Full payment is required for custom orders in advance.
International buyers may be subject to taxes and duties depending on their country.
Lay-away plans are available on women's coats. Please contact me to work out a plan if you would like to use this option.
Shipping
You are the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country. Orders shipped outside of the United States may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country. The buyer of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches the buyers country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; I have no control over these charges and can't predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for more information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond my original delivery estimates.
Freight Forwarding Customers: Items shipping to any freight forwarding/international mail forwarding boxes are only guaranteed for delivery to the address listed in the original sale. Once delivery to this address is confirmed all warranties/guarantees are no longer valid and are void once item leaves the country for any international destination.
