Shipping
*IMPORTANT*:
Please make sure to add your correct shipping address on your Etsy purchase receipt. Your package will be delivered to the address stated on your Etsy receipt.
You may email me, or add a note in the 'notes to buyer ' section at the bottom of your purchase receipt if you need it to be shipped to a different address. Be sure you contact me with the change of address immediately.
Sword+Fern cannot be held responsible for shipping to an incorrect address.
From Etsy's policies:" Etsy will not hold the seller responsible for postal or shipping service delays or errors, theft or customs delays."
i ship USPS with delivery confirmation, let me know if you want an upgrade and i'll adjust the cost.
message me if you think you don't fit into the "everywhere else"shipping category- we can work out the cost together.
Individual orders will be processed and shipped within 5-10 business days.
When ordering wholesale with Sword+Fern, keep in mind that because my work is handcrafted and mostly made to order, it can take up to 4 weeks for some larger orders to arrive. I can also split shipments if needed so that some items arrive for you to start selling sooner. If you have special requests, feel free to let me know when ordering.
Since it's just me who creates all of this work,I can sometimes get swamped. Some of my designs are available in limited quantities or are available only on a seasonal basis. About 90% of the materials I use are recycled, found, or just limited edition, I will sometimes run out of a certain style or item- so it's helpful if you're open to receiving substitutions of similar items.
Also when ordering, keep in mind that each piece of jewelry is a one of a kind. If you order five "Promises"necklaces for example, you will receive 5 slightly different necklaces, each with their own unique, vintage chain.
Refunds and Exchanges
I hope you'll love your purchase, but if it doesn't work out... don't worry! We'll gladly accept your return for a full refund. Please email sales [!at] swordandfern.com or call (503)683.3376 to speak with a person-we are here to help!
In order to receive a refund:
-Item(s) must be unworn, in original packaging, received in brand new condition.
-Item(s) must be sent back within ten (10) business days.

Please pack your return carefully to avoid breakage or loss. Once goods are received,in excellent, unused condition, a refund will be issued within 7 business days.
*All sale items and custom designs are FINAL SALE. No exchanges, credits or refunds.
Sword+Fern is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged packages once it leaves our studio. Please insure your package to make certain it arrives safely.
If it does arrive damaged, please contact me and we can discuss a resolution. I ship with delivery confirmation to the noted address on your Etsy reciept.

If your jewelry breaks, send it back to me and I will do my best to fix it, if all the parts are present, it's no charge to repair it. If I need to replace parts I will let you know before I begin any repairs what the cost will be. In most cases of repairs/replacing, it should amount to no more than around $20.00. I want you to be happy with your pieces!
Additional policies and FAQs
ABOUT THE DESIGNS+THE ARTIST:
Every piece of originally designed Sword+Fern jewelry is carefully handcrafted by Emily Baker in lovely Portland, Oregon,in the United States of America, with the most unique, interesting, & ethically-sourced materials available.
Materials include raw, unprocessed, fairly harvested /sourced crystal and semi-precious gemstones including genuine all-natural quartz, agate, pyrite, and more. No two stones are the same, please enjoy their naturally occuring variations.
I am happy to let you know more about the spiritual and healing properties of these amazing planet earth minerals- email me at swordandfern [!at] gmail.com for deeper info!
I focus on using interesting and rare, vintage, salvaged and re-purposed materials: used car parts are the main component of my collections- these are found in my travels in countless used junk yards, alleys, and hardware resale stores. My recycled glass pieces are designed by me and cut by a small company I work with in California.
I find many of my rocks, gems, metal oddities, and driftwood in the wilds of the Pacific Northwest, as well as from the collections of small-town enthusiastic homesteaders who have a passion for the simplicity of rockhounding.
I source my additional materials from awesome small businesses who have strong values and great reputations as business people here on Etsy.

I really enjoy the idea of using brass for jewelry- it looks as nice as gold, but it isn't as expensive and tarnishes in a really pretty way over time- I also use some planet-friendly techniques to age the raw brass: many of the pieces feature distressed and antiqued finishes. All the brass chain and components as well as the sterling silver earwires I use are superior quality and guaranteed lead- and nickel-free.

JEWELRY CARE:
To maintain the shine of your new jewelry, clean gemstones with a soft, dry cloth.
To preserve any antiqued or distressed finish of the metals, please do not expose to water. You can use natural brass polisher to remove any naturally occurring tarnish and return it to a sparkling shine.

REPAIRS:
Please contact us if you need something repaired. Minor repairs will be executed within seven (7) days of receipt. Major repairs may take longer. Please note, if we are replacing a stone or component that is no longer available, an exact match might be hard to do,in that case, we will work as hard as possible to make a new pair of the lost piece, one you'll love forever. We will contact you to discuss an appropriate fee for this service, if any.

WHOLESALE:
I am always searching for new stores to stock my collections.
please email me with any questions!
custom, special occasion+ family heirlooms.. i welcome any and all inquiries on collaborative design work.
