Hello and Welcome to Sylvana Vintage Designs!
Everything in my little shop is handmade by me using quality materials.

I want you to have a great experience shopping with me, so it's important to let you know how things work here so there are no surprises.

Everything at Sylvana Vintage Designs is handmade and one-of-a-kind. There may be similarities between some pieces, but no two are exactly alike and many use vintage components or found objects that make them impossible to duplicate.

Please read descriptions carefully as I give you lots of detail about how each item is made, how measurements are calculated, and what materials were used.

If you have any questions at all please contact me before making your purchase. I want you to be completely satisfied and love wearing my pieces (or love giving them to someone special) as much as I love making them.

Please contact me if you see a piece in my sold listings that you are would have liked to purchase. I may be able to make something similar!

Returns and exchanges
I want you to be completely happy with your purchase from Sylvana Vintage Designs and I am confident you will be. But we all know things happen and sometimes a return or exchange is necessary.

Handmade items, unlike those manufactured by machine, will have slight variations and are necessarily not always uniform. I strive for the best possible workmanship and use the finest materials I can find. If, however, there is any damage or defects in materials or workmanship, contact me within 48 hours of receipt of your item and explain what the problem is and we will work out a solution if at all possible. I do not make returns on "buyer's remorse" so read my descriptions carefully before you buy.

I will need to receive your item back within 7 days of your receipt. Please send it back to me in the original packaging via a trackable courier (UPS or Federal Express). I am not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit when they are returned to me. Shipping charges for returning merchandise are non-refundable.
I accept PayPal for fast, easy and safe payment processing. Payment is expected and appreciated at the time of purchase.

You do not need a PayPal account to make payment. If you do not have a PayPal account, simply choose the "Pay Now" button and Scroll Down until you see the option to pay with a Credit or Debit Card without having to sign up for a PayPal account.

I will ship to your ETSY ADDRESS unless you specify otherwise.
I ship through USPS (US Mail) First Class. If you want your item to be shipped via Priority or Next Day delivery, please contact me and we will make arrangements for the additional charges. If you wish to add insurance you will need to let me know that as well.

Make sure that your Etsy address and PayPal address match. I will ship to your Etsy address unless you specify a different address in the "Message to Seller" box at check out. If this is to be a gift you will need to let me know that in the same manner.

All packages are shipped within one week of purchase. I ship more often around the holidays.

International orders are shipped via USPS First Class International. I cannot be responsible for any fees, taxes or delays that might occur. These are the responsibility of the buyer. Please contact your local customs organization for more information. I will complete a customs form when one is required and I will mark it as "Other." Please do not ask me to mark it as "Gift" or to misrepresent its value as this is illegal.

Please keep in mind International Mail often takes several weeks to arrive, depending on your local Customs Office policies. There are also postal strikes that can create delays. Please understand that I ship your item promptly and cannot be responsible for these delays.

If you would like Priority or Express shipment or Insurance, please leave me a note in the "Message to Seller" when you check out through PayPal. I am not responsible for items that are lost or damaged by the Postal Service. Thankfully, insurance is not expensive so you may want to add this minor cost to your purchase.
Additional policies and FAQs
My jewelry is shipped "gift ready" attractively wrapped. I will include a note card with your message at no additional cost. Please let me know in the "Message to Seller" when checking out at PayPal.

If you are purchasing multiple items please indicate if any is a gift (and which one) and I will place it in a separate box. Whenever possible I will combine items to conserve on packing materials.

I welcome custom orders. A non-refundable deposit of 20% is required before I can begin, since it can take considerable time and effort to come to an understanding of your desires, obtain materials and components, and begin to make the piece. I do not accept "Rush" orders for custom work.
