Enjoyed the communication with Alicja. The quality of her work and materials used are top-notch. Well thought out construction details.

Also flies great which is what a kite is supposed to do!

Look forward to purchasing more kites from her in the future.

This item ships from Poland and takes a little while but it is completely worth the wait!

The quality of construction and materials is the best. If you're worried about price, don't be, you get every pennies worth of what you pay.

The colors are vivid and chosen well, the design of the kite is basic but the beauty is in how the tail and kite work together!

It is a pleasure owning this work of art and I encourage anybody looking for a new kite to add to their collection to purchase from this seller!

I look forward to supporting this artist in the future and making many more purchases from her!

Inspired by the sky, carried by the wind

I was raised in a kite family and I literally lived in a kite manufacture, which was founded by my parents in 1989. As a child I flew kites with my parents and brothers and visited some European kite festivals with them. Since I began to live independently I always had few kites with me and flew them occasionally. 2015 turned out to be a breakthrough year.  In August, on the occasion of the 5th International Kite Festival in Łeba, Poland, I revived the kite world in which I grew up. The following years were rich in kite travels and intensive work on the organization of the festival in Łeba. That time brought many valuable relations and a desire to create own kites. In the summer of 2017, I took part in a week-long kite workshop with my dad Wenancjusz. It was the first time I sat down at a sewing machine and it turned out from the spot that I could sew.

Making kites gives unlimited creation possibilities, it’s a mind opener.
Attending kite festivals and flying with other people gives opportunity to exchange good energy and knowledge with creative kiters. Creating interpersonal bonds and friendships through a shared passion to kites is a very important part of kiting for me.

Nowadays my passion deepens with every kite I make as well as with every kite travel. I feel very lucky when I get a chance to meet sophisticated kite artists around the world. Inspiration for each of my kites starts with something I get to see, a landscape, photo, object, bird or other piece of reality.

One year from making my first kite, I resigned from working in a corporation, founded the SzalSky company and in the comfort of Oliwa in Gdansk I create kites. Together with my boyfriend we organise workshops for children, lectures about kites and small local kite events.

You can find more of my kites at www.wolkenstuermer.de. A German shop with long history.
