5 out of 5 starsI bought this little ring dish to keep vitamins in. I take a bunch throughout the day and wanted a cute way to keep them visible on my desk so I don't forget. I know that's a little weird, but I love it!

5 out of 5 starsMatches the description, though it was much smaller than I expected even though the measurements are listed. I use it as a stand for a ceramic dreidle I purchased from another Etsy shop.

5 out of 5 starsThis is so gorgeous! I LOVE this beautiful necklace! I like the trend of constellation jewelry, but I'm a cancer survivor with a July birthday & I don't want Cancer hanging around my neck, lol! Now I have my Cassieopeia pendant & I'm happy!

5 out of 5 starsThis little dish is perfect! It's exactly what I was looking for to place on my meditation altar. I'm so glad I chose the dark patina--a beautiful, deep, chocolaty taupe color! And it arrived in just a few days! Thank you so much! : )

Bright, snazzy pegboard going up in the new studio!
Everyday jewelry handcrafted with Midwestern care.
I was a creative and artistic kid, often drawn to small-scale things. It was not uncommon to find me playing with Polly Pockets while watching Bob Ross on PBS... so doing something creative with attention to tiny details isn't much of a stretch for me.
I started making beaded jewelry as a hobby in high school, but the real spark was ignited in my first metalsmithing and jewelry design class at IU. Two years and multiple classes in the program taught me an incredible amount about design, craftsmanship, wearability, and problem solving.
My Tactile Melodies business began in the fall of 2009 - a family friend was putting together a holiday arts and crafts show. They asked if I wanted to sell some jewelry there, and I was officially in business. I've been growing and expanding my designs ever since. I continue to set up booths at a few local shows each year, and I have jewelry for sale in a handful of shops around southern Indiana.
Etsy was something I'd had my eye on for some time. I took the plunge into this fantastic online marketplace in the spring of 2012 as an outlet for some of my favorite and best selling designs. It's been an amazing experience so far - my customers and fellow Etsy users have been so wonderful!
I hope to provide affordable, high-quality, and versatile pieces of jewelry that compliment all kinds of personalities for many years to come. Thanks for visiting!

Hi! I've been making jewelry in some capacity for over 10 years - as a hobby in high school, as my main area of study at Indiana University, and as a full-time job since 2010. I am also a family historian and aspiring world traveler.

Additional policies and FAQs
Always put jewelry on last when getting ready - lotions, perfumes, hairsprays, and other body/beauty products that go on jewelry can dull finishes and speed up tarnish on metal. Nearly all metals will slightly change color over time... please keep this in mind! Keeping jewelry dry and stored in airtight containers while not being worn can help prolong the life of the original finish. Never clean jewelry with harsh detergents or cleaners... gentle soap and warm water will do! Intense cleaners can harm the special finish of metal and gemstones.
If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or anything else you'd like to talk about - I'd love to chat with you! Just send me a message.
Thanks!
