A proof is sent to the email address used with your Etsy account. Please watch for it so you get a chance to either approve or ask for changes before your order is made. If no approval is given in 5 days, I will make the item from the proof and ship it out as is. I'd much rather have your okay but with such a busy schedule, it's important to keep things moving without pile ups.

Orders are shipped by USPS. Production time is 2-3 business days. Shipping upgrades to either Priority Mail or Express Mail can be added at checkout. It's better to estimate arrival time long rather than short.

So, here's the story

Not much to tell here. Just a one person on-line shop with a lousy internet connection. Occasionally I come up with a new idea, figure out how to make it and am totally surprised when others become interested in it. TailorMade diligently tries to adhere to all copyright laws. The fonts and artwork used are licensed for use to make stamps. It's a bit different than just using them for a website or to create a piece of personal use print. I also ask that if you submit your own artwork for a stamp, which we will gladly make, that you also respect the work of others.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

Covid 19 Shipping Policy Updates

Because of Postal Delays during the pandemic, I am extending the arrive by dates to 30 days after shipping. I'm sorry. I can only promise when I will ship them and have not control over when they will arrive. It's weird times and I'm sure our postal workers are doing the best job they can. I'm hoping we can return to some what normal in the future.

Mistakes are costly but I will gladly correct any mistake made on this end. Please be sure to proof-read all information given as it will be used exactly as it is given to me.

If a package has been lost because of an error by me, I will do everything I can to get you your order in the time frame you have given or that we agree upon.

Any packages needing to be re-shipped because of an error in the address given when checking out, will be re-shipped once the second shipping payment has been received.

The Post Office on occasion mis-sorts packages but rarely loses one. If a package seems to be in Postal limbo and is taking the long route to you, our policy is to wait 30 days on domestic shipments and 30 days on international shipments before shipping a second order.

Please be sure to allow for Postal errors when ordering with a tight deadline. I can only promise my part of the delivery by shipping your item by the promised date. After it is in the hands of the Post Office, I have no control and cannot make promises for them.

On any orders shipped outside the US that seem to be taking longer than they should, please call your local post office to inquire if the package is being held for some reason.
Payment
Payment is made through either Etsy or PayPal. A PayPal account is not required, just a credit card.
Shipping
Your order will be shipped to your Etsy address that appears on your receipt. Please be sure your Etsy account is updated with your current address so neither of us has to deal with the headache of an order being shipped to the wrong place. If the ship to address was not correct and the order has shipped to that address, it will be your responsibility to contact the receiving post office to make a claim.

All packages ship via USPS. Upgrades are available at checkout.

Frequently asked questions
Can I get a rush order?

Orders ship in 2-3 business days after purchase and artwork approval. I just can’t do it any faster. It wouldn’t be fair to charge you extra to get the same service unless of course, you insisted…I'm saving for a new Kuerig. You can, however, upgrade your shipping if you like when checking out.

Can I see a proof before production?

Not only can you, but it’s a requirement. Seems annoying sometimes but it really helps with errors. It works out in both of our favors when an error does occur. So watch your email because that's where it will be sent.

Custom and personalized orders

You betcha! (Just a heads up…”betcha” auto corrects to “beach”. Be careful when replying to the boss’ email request for help on a project) You can submit your artwork before ordering and we can direct you to the correct listing. If you have at least one measurement in mind, either left to right or top to bottom, just let us know and we can resize proportionally.

My art only measures 4x2. Can you make it 4x4?

I can but it probably won’t be what you are expecting. I can add space between lines or I can take the whole thing and stretch it. If you already have a stunning logo, I don’t advise changing it just to use up more space on whatever you are stamping. Sometimes white space is more eye pleasing than a distorted piece of art. Just my opinion and I'll change it if you like.

How are your stamps different than other seller's stamps?

My stamps are totally made in house by me. I engrave the rubber, cut the wood mount and attach the handle. The rubber is natural red rubber and never plastic.

All of my stamps are hand trimmed as close to the image as possible and the big open spots that always seem to pick up ink are trimmed away, also. I hate having to worry about extra artifacts on my stamped art and figure you all do too.

My wood blocks are cut to fit the stamp, drilled and a handle attached and sprayed with a light clear coat to keep the ink from absorbing into the wood.

Are the sizes you have the size of the artwork or the wooden block?

The sizes in the listing are the maximum sizes of the ART. I cut the wood blocks to fit the art. I use 3/4" hard maple right from the hardwoods place that comes to me in 3 foot lengths.

If your art is 2.5” wide by 1.25” tall, the listing you’ll want the 3” x 2” listing. Sorry, we don’t do ½” sizes because none of our suppliers go by ½” so we have to round up.

I don't have artwork. Can you come up with something?

I'll always try to help but you'll have to help me, too. You must have some sort of an idea in mind and I'm probably not going to guess what it is. I stink at guessing.

1. Please do a Google search to look for something similar to your idea. 2. Let me know what kind of font you are wanting.
3. Let me know the size range we have to work with
4. Please let me know what you'll be stamping on.

If I could have this info from the get-go, it will save lots of time for both of us.

Tracking says my package was delivered but it wasn't.

I want you to have your order as much as you want to have it but this issue lies with your local post office and there's not much that I can do.

1. Be sure your shipping address is correct.

2. If the address is correct, either visit your local post office or call them to see if they may know where it's at. Do not bother with the 800 number on the USPS website. Instead look for the local number at www.postofficehours.com. Make sure you have your tracking number. They can give you a GPS location with a map printout of where the last scan took place.

3. Be respectful when talking to any postal worker. They've had not only a pandemic with 4x the usual load of mail to deal with but also a new person in charge creating chaos.
