Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life

Art has always been an important part of my life. Living in central Massachusetts, I grew up in a household full of talented artists and musicians. My father, a pianist, played in a band with my trumpeter grandfather during my childhood. My mother owned and ran a home based ceramic studio, and my brother was an amazing street artist and popular DJ in both the Massachusetts area and New York City so it's no wonder my passion for art was fueled at an early age! While attending school, teachers recognized my talent and potential and had me skip study class to double up on art classes.

While in High School, I applied for and was accepted into the Massachusetts College of Art program for high school students looking to pursue a career in art. During my senior year, I won a scholarship to attend a commercial art program. I completed the program, and after a brief break from school, returned to earn her Associates Degree in Graphic Design, a career in which I devoted almost 20 years.

Throughout the years, I've dabbled in many different art mediums, and only recently decided to try my hand at watercolor. I found I have a true passion and natural talent for it, and have committed myself to learning all I can about this wonderful art form. When asked whose works inspired me the most, I usually cite Norman Rockwell, Mary Whyte, Ray Hendershot and Howard Stern (who is a very talented watercolor artist) as influences, with Van Gogh being my favorite classical painter.

My dream is to one day be recognized for my works and be an inspiration to other artists. It's an ever evolving process and there's always room to learn!

I'm a watercolorist who fell in love with the medium about 2 years ago. Working as a graphic designer for over 20 years, I wanted to try my hand at something that gave me a lot more creative freedom. I've been hooked on watercolor ever since!
