5 out of 5 starsSeller was very communitive and kind. The morning glory is so lovely and detailed, and will look great with the yukata I got it to match as well as streetwear, depending on the hairstyle. It came in a sturdy box and tissue paper padding with a hand-written note and in perfect condition despite overseas shipping and my mail service's attempts otherwise (I saw the box thrown on our porch).

5 out of 5 starsThis beautiful brooch arrived with my other items really quickly in these challenging times where the post is really erratic. Everything is exquisitely wrapped with so much attention to detail including a lovely personal message from the seller. It felt like an early Christmas as I unwrapped the parcel. The brooch is perfect and the recipient of this gorgeous item will be so pleased.

Exquisite Headpieces and Accessories for Special Occasions. Handcrafted in England with Love
Tsumami-Zaiku Occasion Headpiece and Accessories – Vibrant, Unique, Always Delightful
Takara is a British headpiece and accessory designer-maker based in Sheffield. We create beautiful, delicate and elaborate pieces for every special occasion. Our creations of distinctive designs and styles are made for women who want to show their individuality through fashion, and appreciate fine craftsmanship, originality, and quality. Not only are our pieces beautiful fashion items, each of them is a unique piece of wearable work of art.
A delightful union of tradition, culture, nature
With great finesse, all of our pieces are created by using the traditional craft of Tsumami-Zaiku – a Japanese artisan skill that dates back to the late 18th century, and is used extensively to make exquisite floral headpieces for Maikos (apprentice Geishas). Tsumami-Zaiku is a delightful union of Japanese tradition, culture, and nature. We aim to bring this over two-century-old craft into modern fashion, so as to create distinctive, unique, and alternative headpieces.
Fabric is the predominant material of Tsumami-Zaiku. We always source the best fabric to achieve the perfect result. We use lightweight, fine fabric such as habutae silk and cotton lawn to reduce weight and to give a smooth finish to our pieces. Rice glue is another vital traditional material to the craft. Through numerous experiments, we created our own recipe, and we produce our very own homemade rice glue to ensure its quality. Making a piece through Tsumami-Zaiku involves fabric-cutting, folding, and assembling, all of which require intricate and precise handiwork that cannot be replicated by machinery. Tsumami-Zaiku demands immense labour, precision, and skills; some of our pieces take days or weeks to complete. Every piece is the product of hard work, attention to detail, and passion.
