📸 How do I send you a photo of my pet? 📸
The best way is through sending us a message on Etsy after you placed your order with a photo of the pet. There is no place to upload through the listing when you order so please Etsy message us. You can also email us the photos at info@taleology.com
✨ I ordered a Custom Pet Portrait item. Do I get a proof? ✨
YES! I am determined to make sure you love your pets portrait and always message you a proof of the art before we engrave or embroider. Do note art differs based on the medium.
⏰ What is the turn around time for custom goods? ⏰
They vary on the item. We aim to have a 1-2 day turn around except for totes which can be up to 4 days depending on the TYPE of embroidery and volume of orders.
🖌️ Why are there 2 processing times for embroidered tote bags? 🖌️
Great question! Both listings have artwork created by Emma, me, but the embroidery process differs.
Our "Embroidered" listing means it is done by our machine which works faster and does not require washing or drying once embroidered. This means we can turn around a pet portrait tote in 1-2 days depending on the amount of orders or when it was placed.
Our "Hand Embroidered" listing means Emma hand embroiders the portrait on to the tote bag. This then requires washing and drying after completion meaning it is AT LEST a 2 day process.
👜Why are there 2 listings for totes?👜
One is "Machine Embroidered" the other is "Hand Embroidered"
I recommend Hand Embroidery if you have small details you want to shine through like teeth. Hand Embroidery also has a very specific single line style many love and enjoy.
Machine Embroidered is much sturdier with designs having upwards of 6000 stitches meaning the longevity of the design is stronger. Small details can be more difficult to showcase due to the stitching method though.
🐾 I got 2 of the same, but they slightly differ. Why is that? 🐾
When working with wood items the grain and color can differ item to item. We try our best to match them as much as we can.
Wood items are hand designed and handcrafted, some subtle imperfections may be visible given the nature of the materials such as marks, scratches, holes, or other natural impurities may be possible, we try our best to select the best material that we have available when creating your products.
Embroidery can slightly differ due to the machine or from the different material being used. Hand embroidery versus Machine embroidery does differ in style.
