About

Being a jewelry designer allows me to create little wearable works of art

I studied Art at Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon with a focus on ceramics. My dream was to become an art teacher but life had other plans for me. Although I started making jewelry when I was a young girl it wasn't until years later that it became a true passion. While on a ceramics focused study abroad trip in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, I met and eventually studied with a master jeweler. The experiences and skills I learned during that time inspired me to change my path. My interest in jewelry design grew from a hobby to a small business and eventually a career. I began selling my work at the Portland Saturday Market in Portland, Oregon while my husband was studying business at Portland State. My business quickly grew into a full time job. We moved to my husband's hometown in Georgia in 2008. Thankfully I was able to continue growing my business in our new location. Currently I spend my days at home with my two young children, squeezing in as much studio time as I can, making the most of nap time and staying up late most nights. I love the process of jewelry design from shopping for beautiful and unusual gems and pearls, working with metals and finding the perfect color combinations. I find inspiration from the amazing colors and textures in the natural materials I work with. Being a jewelry designer allows me to create little wearable works of art. There is no better feeling than when someone chooses to my jewelry and appreciates the thought, time and love that I put into each piece. I am proud to say that my materials are very high quality and each piece is made entirely by me. I am very passionate about craftsmanship and the little details that make each piece special.
