For as long as I can remember, I've been enamoured of nature and the lovely scenery around me. I've been lucky enough to have travelled to and photographed many places on this tiny globe. This is my on-going project of getting the work out there for others besides myself and friends to enjoy.

One of the most amazing parks in the world lies 2 blocks away from us and I am there most every day. Golden Gate Park spans half the length of our fair town of San Francisco and my little "backyard" corner is closest to the Victorian-era Conservatory of Flowers and its almost hidden Dahlia Garden. Another favorite spot is Stow Lake with its Chinese Pavillion on Strawberry Island. San Francisco was a sand-dune wasteland until some very special people had a dream and the tenacity to bring vegetation from all over the world to this rather foreboding landscape. The San Francisco Botanical Garden alone has over eight thousand species! The park is now lush and especially when the fog rolls in, is magical!

My earlier work circa 2002-05, was shot through the lens with a filter which turns the image into a painterly rendition. This is the first section that I have made available for viewing.
