Announcement    Summer is in full-swing! I have been working hard to add more items to my shops. Unfortunately, the program where I had been teaching bead art to adults with developmental disabilities has had to shut down classes due to COVID-19 until further notice and we have all been laid off now. I am sad about that and miss the students I had the privilege to work with daily. I am not sure how things will be in the future for our art program and other programs for these wonderful clients. We can only hope for the best

I started working at that program five years ago and it was thanks to this little shop that I got the job. My daughter is a client there and when they were in need of a bead art instructor, they approached me about interviewing for the job. It was really my dream job as it allowed me to work for an awesome organization and take my daughter to work where she thrived at that awesome program.

But nothing lasts forever. In 2017, my daughter was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and life got a little more complicated. We worked through many of those challenges and then, of course this year and COVID-19. I don't know where life is taking us. But it does allow me more time to work on my jewelry and my shop, which I am really treasuring right now.

We are all on a challenging journey. Life is full of twists and turns. Always surprises. Just when you think you have it all figured out, everything changes. That is just the way of life.

I hope you are healthy and well. I hope you are keeping a smile on your face and joy and peace in your heart. Thank you for spending time looking at my shop and hopefully you will return often.

Grace and peace to you,
Tami

My Journey...

I was born and raised in beautiful California, and I have lived here my whole life. The lifestyle we live here is a huge influence on my work. The ocean, the mountains, the wine country, the history, the architecture, the nature. I love living in and exploring California!

I married my high school sweetheart and we began growing our little family. Our second child surprised us.....she has Down Syndrome. That changed the direction of my life and I began thinking of ways I could pursue my creative dream and always be available to her. Etsy allows me the freedom to do that.

I had been making jewelry for myself and friends and family for forever, and at a certain point, I decided to get more serious about the craft. I enrolled in and completed an online jewelry design course, "New York Institute Of Art And Design," and about mid-way through, I opened my jewelry shop here on Etsy.

As women, we spin a lot of plates (and then I guess we serve up a great meal on them, right?!) Our lives are busy and our families depend on us all along the way. But it is really important to find time and opportunities to treat ourselves (and be treated by our special people) now and then. I believe we are worth it!

That is what I strive to do here in "Tami Lopez Designs". Create beautiful, unique jewelry that celebrates the beautiful, unique women who wear it. When I am designing and making a piece of jewelry, I am thinking a lot about the woman who will wear it. I feel that my jewelry is only complete when it finds its way into the possession of the special woman it is intended for.

So beads and wire have taken me on a journey. What started as just a fun hobby has become quite a bit more. It has created so many opportunities for me and been full of surprises. What I am finding is that beads and wire have become a bridge to so many beautiful people...a connection that I never imagined when I first began this craft.

Make memories, celebrate moments, love your life!

Returns and exchange details
Your satisfaction is my priority, and I want you to be completely comfortable doing business with me.

If you are not completely satisfied with your jewelry, I will accept returns if you convo me within 2 weeks of date of purchase. If you desire a return/refund, contact me and let me know. I will refund your purchase price to your PayPal account once the returned item is received by me. If the item is damaged or changed in any way, the refund policy is voided. I will not refund for damaged or changed merchandise. You are responsible for all postage incurred.

I ship all items with tracking. If your package is shown to be delivered to the address you provide me according to tracking information, I will assume it has been delivered and I will not provide a refund or replacement in that case.

Please contact me if there are any problems.
Payment
I am only accepting PayPal payments at this time. Payment is required at time of purchase, and jewelry will only be mailed out after payment is received.

California residents are required to pay 7.25% sales tax. Etsy adds this on to the purchase price of your item when you check out.

I ship within 1-2 weeks of payment received. The only exception to this is if I am on vacation, in which case I will post that information in my shop announcement.

I ship via USPS with tracking, and I insure shipments valued at $100 or more. If your package is shown to be delivered to the address you provide me according to tracking information, I will assume it has been delivered and I will not provide a refund or replacement.

I ship in a bubble envelope or, if it is a larger order, a small secure box. All my shipments are carefully packed, and addresses are hand-printed and double checked for accuracy.

I include a copy of your receipt in each package. If you are purchasing for a gift for someone else and want me to directly mail to them, please alert me about that and request that I do not include the invoice. If I do not hear specifically from you regarding this, I will include the invoice.

If your purchase is intended for a gift, I am happy to wrap it and include a little card per your request. Just let me know if you would like this service and how you want the card to be worded.
Additional policies and FAQs
I will not be taking wholesale or consignment orders at this time.

I will discuss custom orders, but many of my materials are locally purchased in small quantities and not available for repeat purchase. If you are intersted in custom work, convo me and we can discuss that possibility.

I try to list the metals used in each piece of jewelry. I generally try to stay lead-free. Most of the metals I use are copper, brass, sterling silver, gold filled or silver plate over copper. Sometimes the metals in my head pins or commercial jump links are unknown to me. If you have a metal sensitivity--please convo me about this and I will carefully inspect the piece you are interested in and how we can make it safe for you. Having said that, it is your responsibility to know what allergies/sensitivities you have and how the metals affect you. I am not a medical person and I don't give medical advice.

If you purchase jewelry from me, please know that I guarantee my work. I carefully inspect each purchased piece before I mail out. If, however, you receive a piece of jewelry that malfunctions (non-working clasps, chipped or broken beads, broken chain, any other broken parts) please convo me and I will be glad to have you mail the piece back to me for repair. Repair is free, but I do require that the customer pay for shipping.
