taniajulianceramics is taking a short break

I ordered this to be used as an appetizer dish instead of a mini pie plate. I’ve already used it to make a baked herbed goat cheese dip, and I think it will fit a wheel of Brie with toppings well. I had it personalized with the phrase ‘let it brie’ and since I live near Atlanta I was able to message the artist to pick it up instead of shipping it.

Beautiful item. I couldn't be happier with my choice to go with this thrown fountain. It is a piece of art.
Handmade Ceramics that give your daily life soul
I am obsessed with making things. Etsy is creating a great marketplace for finding an audience for my work. Every day!
Going out there and laying your soul out for people to judge is scary. Then diving in and trying to make a living for myself and my family is even scarier. Yet, I choose to do it and try to push myself every day to make it happen.
Creating cheerful items for your everyday use brightens people's day. Especially during the crucial first cup of coffee or tea (I prefer tea, by the way). Expanding my line of wares just gives me the opportunity to cheer people up more.
I work out of my house in a lovely small studio. My business is so far a one-woman shop which I hope to expand someday soon. From creating the items to glazing and firing, to photography and shipping, everything is done by me.
In 2019, I decided to take on an additional job as a flight attendant, so I can have health insurance and a steady income. Having the added security gives me more stability and a sense of relief. Just know that this fits perfectly into my life as pottery takes time with the drying and firing. Sometimes it will add a couple of days to the process due to the travel.

Returns and exchange details
This is because I have spent the time packing and shipping an item to you and have to spend time on communication and the return and packaging loss.
Returns must be made within 30 days of purchase.
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Breakage: All items are shipped insured. That way I get reimbursed for shipping carrier mistakes and can send a replacement quickly and without loss. Broken pottery and packaging must be photographed and brought to the post office. You are responsible for starting the claim as I am unable to do that for you due to USPS policy.
My items can be shipped as gifts to other people.
Sometimes items are shipped in recycled boxes that are in excellent shape.
Additional policies and FAQs
That’s the beauty of buying handmade! Please allow for slight variations from what is shown in the made to order photos. If that thought makes you in any way uncomfortable, please don't hit the buy button.
I use both 'Loafer's Glory' or 'Moon White' clay that is manufactured by Highwater Clays company. This product is not a toxic or hazardous substance as defined by CFR 1500.3 of the Federal Hazardous Substances Act. The ingredients I use to create my glazes do not contain lead, cadium, or barium, and are food and drink safe. Each glaze is mixed in-studio, with ingredients listed below:
F4, Whiting, Silica, OM4, Gerstley B, Bentonite, Zircopax.
I cannot guarantee that your cat will like it. They are... peculiar and have their own
mind. Hopefully you will also buy it for yourself as a calming water feature.
Returning it 'because your cat doesn't like it' isn't really fair to the artisan who created
it. If you are not really sure if you would like this in your life, please think twice
and maybe don't hit buy. Maybe something cheaper from amazon/china might suit you
better. Keep in mind that this is a one woman shop. I try my very best to uphold
high standards for communication and fixing any problems. I craft items by hand
and have invested years of experience practicing this craft and improving it.
I am not perfect, because human and all that, but I try my best.
Please convo me if you are interested in custom orders or have specific requests.
Custom orders can take up to 3-4 weeks to make.
My stoneware has a natural creamy looking white. It is not perfect pure white.
I do have white glaze and some items can be made white, except for pieces that are stamped/stained in black.
If you are purchasing a fountain, I advise to protect your antique furniture.
And purchase shipping insurance.
***How to clean your fountain***
It is very easy, even my 10 year old can do it.
I recommend cleaning it once every month.
Especially when cats drink out of them, since their hair and
slobber gunks up the intake ;-).
1. Unplug, bring it to your sink and
2. wash the bowl and center piece with warm water and soap.
The pump has two parts: the pump itself which needs to be
rinsed and I use a brush to clear any hair from the water intake
(3.), and the other part is the clear tube that extends the water
from the pump to the centerpiece opening. Just rinse that also
(4.) Then put it all back together:
5. Put the pump into the center of the bowl.
6. Add the clear tube on top of the pump, and set the center
piece on top of that.
7. All is left is moving it to your permanent location, fill it with
water, and plug it back in.

Yes. I create wholesale orders on a regular basis. Contact me for a line sheet.
Custom and personalized orders
Can you make the fountain in a different color?
Yes. I create customized design all the time.
Is the cord hanging over the edge?
Yes. I have tried wiring and it is definitely not in my expertise and will leave my hands off it. Sorry. :-(
Are your items dishwasher safe?
Are your items microwavable.
I have microwaved my items, but it's safer not to for the longevity of the handmade item.
