Love it! This is actually my second set. My first was a mothers day present and this is for the neighbor who loved my moms so much they are getting their own for christmas.

Lots of fun things to do with these. Looking forward to playing around to see how they work with photos indoors, and maybe a few outside in potted plants. Arrived on time and well packaged.

I absolutely LOVE this addition to my garden/entrance to my aromatics studio! Good packing made sure they arrived safely! I have bookmarked your store for more treasures when I have the money. Thank you!

Guess I'll work with the blue marbles today.

From City Girl to Horse Trainer and Beyond...

I live out in the country where I seem to have turned into the local "no kill shelter".
I used to train horses for a living but my mid-life crisis entailed not being able to look at them as just a commodity anymore. So, as luck would have it, in the early winter of 2000 I saw a program on HGTV where they were making candleholders with wire, baby food jars and old costume jewelry.
I finally found some wire at the local hardware, substituted jelly jars (all of my babies have 4 feet & fur and I didn't think an empty Friskies can would cut it) and used some old marbles instead of the jewelry. I eventually started using old telephone or electrical insulators instead of the jelly jars (recycling!) and began to make some other stuff for my yard. My husband began taking it in to work and the orders started to come in! Then, his aunt invited me to share a tent with her at a local craft show and voila, my new career was born.
I do all the wire twisting and designing (the hardest part is usually the engineering of a project - how to make it sit up or hang properly). I love playing with rocks and crystals, glass marbles and my copper wire.
My yard is full of my protoypes, so I can see how my creations stand up to the weather - pretty well so far, except for the hanging gazing ball that had the misfortune to meet up with a stone thrown from the snowblower.
I have a lot of those fur persons to support so I best be gettin' back to work...
Thank you for stopping by!

I grew up in Detroit and graduated with a B.A. in English from Wayne State. When my brother died, I purchased his horse. After training horses for 15 yrs, my life took another turn and I began creating. Never underestimate the power of serendipity!

Frequently asked questions

Will you combine orders to save on shipping?

Yes, I do combine orders whenever possible. If you want an exact estimate of a combined shipping cost, please give me your zip code and let me know which items. I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

How soon will my item ship?

All of the items that I have listed are ready to go so your purchase will ship within one business day (and, quite often, the same day).

Can items be personalized with specific color marbles or special stones?

Most certainly! Just let me know what color marble(s) and/or
stone(s) tickle your fancy and I'll try my best to meet your needs.

This is a gift. Can I add a note or gift wrap?

Just let me know in the "Note to seller" section and I'll add a note to your gift (I've become fairly proficient with Print Shop!). Gift wrapping can be a little trickier but if you'd like a little spiffier presentation, I'll give it my best shot.
