Erik Akers has been a henna artist for over 20 years, with his own traveling business, Henna Illuminata. Adriyel Paymer joined him 5 years ago, and together they travel the country from Miami to Seattle working at renaissance and music festivals.
In 2018, they began branching out beyond henna-on-skin and experimenting on what other mediums would make a good canvas for their art. Tara Illuminata is the result.
