Announcement   Design-led handmade jewellery in metal, and laser cut acrylic jewellery, all dreamed up and made with love by me in the UK.

Welcome to my shop, where traditional handmade jewellery techniques sit alongside cutting edge techniques like laser cutting. I believe that plastic is fantastic and in the words of Shakespeare, 'all that glisters is not gold'.

I've been a jewellery designer and maker for thirteen years, and every item is seen through from conception to completion by little old me in my workshop at home. I am heavily inspired by Art Deco and the seventies, modern architecture and a childhood spent in London, and love to work with Perspex due to its vivid colour possibilities and beauty next to precious metals.

I have already worn this w/a summer linen dress. It is a quirky and fun contrast. Thanks.

About

Plastic is fantastic, and all that glisters is not gold

I have been lucky enough to spend the last decade both teaching and learning when it comes to design. I reopened my shop this year after a 4 year break where I was training to be a teacher of design.

My work, and so my shop, is a happy marriage of the very traditional and the very modern. I love working in a range of materials- wood, bronze, silver, plastic- and with a range of techniques.

I trained at an artisan jewellers in Dublin where I learned old school traditional techniques in precious metals and worked with some incredible craftsmen, before moving to London to take a HND in Jewellery, Silversmithing and Allied Arts where I fell in love with acrylic. I used to hand cut it back in those days!

I know weave my own work in with teaching product design at A Level, where I am lucky enough to teach things like carpentry and graphic design skills in Photoshop and Illustrato, to my students.

Shipping will usually take place within 3-5 working days of you placing your order with Tara Mac Jewellery. An exception to this rule is the bronze and silver range of pieces; these are cast to order and will be posted within 7-9 working days of receiving your order. If I cannot meet these shipping times I will let you know immediately and will happily refund your order in full if that is what you wish.

If posting within the UK I will send the item by First Class post, and will obtain proof of posting (which insures the item up to £46 in case of loss or damage).
If you would like to have your parcel sent by Registered Post or Special Delivery please message me and ask for a quote, I am very happy to oblige.

When posting abroad I will also obtain proof of postage which will cover items up to the same amount as above.
Refunds and Exchanges
I want you to be happy with your purchase. If you are not happy however, for any reason, please let me know by contacting me on Etsy via conversations to let me know.

If you return the item unworn and in its original condition within 14 days of you receiving it, I will refund the price of the piece (but not the price of the postage). You will need to obtain proof of postage when you send the item back, as claims of loss in the post will not be considered without this proof.
