A peek inside the studio of Tara Reed Designs

Artist Tara Reed has been creating art that is found on products in retails stores around the world. When she's not painting she's probably designing svg cut file bundles for all the creative crafters on Etsy!

A licensed artist since 2004, Tara Reed got her start designing in the scrapbooking industry in 2001. She loves creating art, connecting with others and learning new ways to share her work and help people find that perfect-something for themselves or others.

I've been creating things for as long as I could hold a crayon, pencil or paintbrush.

In the mid-90s when scrapbooking took off, I began designing as a part-time income and later turned art into a full time career when I started licensing my art for a myriad of products sold online and in stores worldwide.

I'm excited to share some of my work with Etsy shoppers like you!

Thank you for shopping with Tara Reed Designs - I greatly appreciate your business and do hope you continue to shop with us and share our shop with your friends.

While I do my best to get them right the first time, I've discovered that sometimes a file that works for most won't work for someone else (it's a mystery but it's true!)

Please message me as soon as you can and include a screenshot of what is happening on your end. I do my very best to fix the problem or if you prefer, I will refund your purchase price. I do need to see the image of the issue.

If you have me create a custom design for you, I will work with you to make sure the file is what you want and are looking for. No refunds for special requests.

Thank you for you help and understanding - hopefully there will be no issues and you can just create to your heart's content!
I accept PayPal, credit cards and Etsy gift cards as a method of payment.
All DIGITAL DESIGNS are delivered electronically and can be printed as many times as you need them.

Once payment is received you will receive an email with your download link within a minute.

Please make sure that your email address is current. If you would like your order sent to an email address other than the one you have registered with Etsy, please specify that in your notes to seller.

Yes! I am available for custom designs as long as they don't violate the copyrights or trademarks of others. (see below for more details)

Message me with details of what you are looking for so I can give you a quote. Payment is required before work is done on custom designs.

Respecting Intellectual Property (IP) rights is very important to me - I don't want people mis-using my creative work and don't want to tread on the IP of others.

If you are a copyright or trademark owner and believe I've used one of your IPs please let me know and I will rectify it immediately. I try to do everything I can to research and respect IP but sometimes I miss something (that whole "I'm human" thing...)

Some common requests that I don't do for this reason include:

• Disney, Marvel, Harry Potter or any other TV Show or Movie Characters/Quotes
• Professional Sports Teams
• Quotes that aren't in the public domain (which generally means quotes by people who didn't die before 1923 or books/movies not published before 1923)

What is Copyright Infringement and Intellectual Property?

Intellectual property (IP) refers to creations of the mind, such as inventions; literary and artistic works; designs; and symbols, names and images used in commerce.

Some more education material:

Some of my customers encounter issues with DXF files when using the Silhouette Studio basic software. It seems to be a known issue but they don't have a fix for the bug at this time (Feb 2019) - here is a blog post that explains more and tells you how to fix it! https://kellylollardesigns.com/blogs/news/tutorial-silhouette-dxf-fix

Alternately, you can open and trace the PNG files - that has worked well as well!

If you have any questions - I try to be as clear as possible but there's always a scenario I don't anticipate - please message me to discuss.

THANK YOU for respecting these terms - I charge very little compared to the time and effort it takes to create the art and prepare it for sale. I support my family with my art and appreciate your understanding and adherence to these terms. :)

- Tara
