About TartankiwiPatterns
In the months following the Christchurch earthquake of 2010, when daily life was regularly interrupted by aftershocks, I took comfort from creativity and quilting. Over time I discovered a love for designing foundation paper pieced patterns.
I always aim to produce patterns that are well constructed. I draw and sew my patterns many times before I release them. Each time, I make improvements until I find a way to bring everything together in a logical way. My patterns do not contain y-seams and although some of the larger patterns may seem intimidating, they come together perfectly if you take your time and follow all the instructions.
These days, designing patterns has grown from a hobby to a job which I love. I hope to share my passion for foundation paper piecing with you!
